Sega AM2's site says it's Yoro.

    Where?

After checking the site I have to agree with Kimble, it's Ganryuu Kage and not Yourou Kage.

Regarding Kurita's questionable followup, I'm guessing he just messed the input, since you see him do it ([6][P][P][K]) later.

Both yoro and ganryu are kage players.....

In that specific qualifier it was ganryu..... and not yoro

Please look again closely at the kanji, they are completely different.

I know it's not a big deal, but just wanted to clarify how I'm still quite sure it's Yoro (the one against Ohsu and MagnumRyuma):
The movie link and the tournament chart show the same ringnames. In the movie itself, the ringname is the same (I'm quite sure, although it's fuzzy). Copy the kanji, if you like, and paste it in the search tool on the sega website. It will indicate Yoro.. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

I realized it wasn't Yoro after the fact, but I wasn't able to edit the post due to cpu problems. Sorry for the confusion guys.

The one is Busho. I'm not really sure the best way to tranlate it, maybe something like "Weapon Lord". Shogun, Busho, and Shihan (Instructor) were all given out at Sega regional tournaments.

Did anyone save the first tournament? I didn't get it and the links are down.

that last match with Mask and Akuma Pai was great. Mask conducted himself so well under pressure. I love the PPf+P (stagger)- MC Groin Kick.

those clips show what a nightmare Pai can be

i didn't think much of this batch of vids compared to the previous three batches. gameplay was overall more solid there imo. the jacky player was solid but i didn't think the wolf players were on the same level.

where the heck are segaru and hideo? hope they qualify for the event (and maybe itabashi zangiefu as well! /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif).....just hope to god another jacky/kage/akira/lau doesn't win this event (any other character is fine but i really dont want to see those four win, regardless of whos behind the wheel).

hmm...i havent seen these vids, but i know that eight is definatley one of the better wolfs. honesty tho, i perfer alot of wolfs to segaru's overall i think mainly because his style is a little too revolved around waiting at distance often.. he seems to get pressured too easily and just isnt very inspiring to watch at times. it seems with all the choices he gets in a match he just seems to favour "block & wait". - but hey, that's just all my oppinion.

he's very good at surviving though. rock solid guts, heh

i hope all wolfs go through ^___^

Both 8 and Mikan are well known, strong players, and I don't think their performance were poor in those clips even though the Jacky player beat them hard. They were just outplayed.

You have a point actually /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Having played against Bun Bun Maru myself (even if for a few matches), and having watched your Wolf a few times on videos months ago, I would say you both have a similar emphasis and approach to offense with Wolf /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif, which is a really fun and interesting approach IMO. So I understand why you like other Wolfs more than Segaru's. I know Bun Bun is not the best Wolf out there, but he is good enough for me.

I have stopped watching matches with dedication a long time ago, so maybe I don't know how Segaru plays now, but I gotta admit: IMO, he is the best Wolf player to utilize [9]+[G]+[P] and [6][6]+[G]+[P] in guessing games. It always seemed to me he got them in the right times /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif.
