I just had a question about the Minami VS Kongouzenshourinji video. How did Lei Fei dodge that double palm in about 1:45 of the vid. At first I was wondering how he dodged that elbow in the first round, but I guess it was because of the ground stomp. It just seemed weird that the double palm missed.

Great Matches though! That Lion one is nail biting =) Minami is a beast!

That's Lei-Fei's +. It avoids double palm at long range (with the right timing).

The one at the 1:45 mark is [IN]+ (his evading sweep) which avoids linear attacks.

i was surprised at how well perusona escaped lei-fei's surprise throws. That and how heruru decided not to throw escape.

i agree. when you see someone start doing ,+ and + variations like that it kind of gives the impression that the guy is looking to get some space. also this is one of the few kage matches i've seen where the kage player has gone an entire fight without attempting + even once /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif (even for someone as versatile as kyasao thats kind of a stretch).

nice fight though. heruru is awesome as always (though i wish they'd put up vids of some other top leifei's). speaking of which whatever happened to that top japanese leifei called 'joe'. last i saw him was in the green book dvd vids and haven't heard about him ever since evo started. did he quit vf??
