All I know about super sgpm is that yes yoho is guaranteed, and that will hold true no matter what if it hits, even it it's not a true counter hit. I have no clue how it's done though. Anyways, correct me if i'm wrong.

Super single palm is Akira's canned qcf+p (236+p) palm after certain situations, such as after the ST throw, guard breaks, etc.

The special palm can be delayed through use of forward dashes (which conveniently place you close to your opponent). When the palm hits, it requires an MC hit in order for a gaurenteed Yoho. The reason being that an MC canned palm yields an advantage of 21 frames, and a Yoho's execution is coincidentally 18 frames, so an appropriately timed Yoho is actually guarenteed.

The only way for this to work is if the opponent struggles, and attacks (both of which they have full control over). You'll see that Shun struggled and saw Minami dash in, and threw out a low punch, which got stuffed with the canned palm for an MC hit, ouch!

Why would Shun struggle and attack if Akira can use this canned palm in that manner you ask? Akira also has the option (due to his advantage of the opponent recovering from stagger) of dashing in for a throw. An example of this (IIRC) was Homestay Akira vs uh...Shun player X at OH3, he ST threw Shun (who struggled and gaurded) and then dashed in for a [4][3]+[P]+[G] throw.

Does this help, I made a quick video of this from Minami's match. Maybe I'll make a more concise one seeing as people are still confused regarding this technique. If you need a resource on VFDC for the technique I described, there is this thread that even has a video from 1/60.

PS: That ending was awesome, how can you not like Minami :p ?

Edit: Super single palm really is referencing to the canned single palm on an MC hit. I made it sound as if under all circumstances the canned palm was synonymous with the super palm /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif Yoho frame execution also corrected, thanks maddy.

Just a minor correction on this. Yoho is a 18 frame move.

WES! whazzup? I have your DVD, need to get that back to you!

Yeah, Hanabi told me that's what Baboching means, and he's also close friends to Homestay Akira, they live in the same neighborhood. Also, I may have mentioned this before, but Hanabi Lei gave his old Lei Fei card to Shinz as a present.
