    arch, if you can't be arsed to learn streambox, all these clips are eventually mirrored at http://vfevo.com/ ... just get the wmv's there when someone posts the links in a few hours (you can usually count on ahtsuko_fan to post the urls.

    Yeah, as long as you are patient VF Evo will eventually obtain the file themselves and host them in a non-streaming format (usually a WMV file).

    What they have been doing is waiting until there are many files (like 20-30 sometimes) that need to be mirrored by them before they are taken down by their source, so it won't be often that you will have to wait a week to get a clip, patience is a virtue...

    Also, in case you missed any of the videos here, VFzone got pretty much every single AM2 video since KSII and the Kumite/Character Title contests, so in case you missed them they are all there, oh, and you can also find them neatly organized by characters on Madagascar's thread.

    Arch, are you still having problems accessing the media vaults on VFevo, is it giving you that message?

    what the hell are u lot going on at me for i never said a damn thing. And for the lat time streambox does not WORK. Ive given up trying to view media from this thread it's far to time consuming.

    OK, let me clear up the whole streambox thing.. this should be a guide for anyone who is having problems with any of .ASX links that sega-am2 posts. Here it is, step-by-step:

    1. Install Microsoft Windows Media Player 9. This might piss most people off, but WMP9 is better than all versions of media player (except WMP6).

    2. Get Streambox (click here plz be kind and don't spread this link around).

    3. After downloading streambox, unzip the file to its own folder, open that folder, and open crack.exe. When this opens, hit START, hit OK, then it will drop you back to the folder. Open vcr.exe and when the email/contact/account information box comes up, enter anything you want, but make sure the passwords match (the pw doesn't matter, the program will puke on you if they don't match though).

    4. After streambox opens fully (it looks like a big spreadsheet with a toolbar), hit View, and then Settings (or just press Control+T). From there, the first tab will give you the path to where streambox will download files. Set this to something easy to work with; I used my desktop. You can also set the max downloads on this tab, I set it to 50 because I have broadband but I would recommend only 1 if you have dialup.

    5. The Connection tab is the important one; without it setup correctly you will get black video with full sound. Go to the Connection tab and set the 'Bandwidth' to '256K DSL' and make sure the box next to 'MMS Streams' is checked. Hit OK to close the settings box.

    6. You are now ready to whore www.sega-am2.co.jp's media section :]

    7. When someone posts a link to their new media (.asx at the end), right-click on the link and hit 'Copy Shortcut'. Open streambox and click the 2nd button (left-to-right) on the toolbar. The link will already be filled in.. Hit OK. This will start downloading the video to your download folder. When it is done downloading, it will leave a .asx file and a .asf file with the same name, delete the .asx file when the download is done. If you have problems with file extensions, setup your folder options (windows setting) to show file extensions of known file types.

    8. Now you can watch the media files without buffering, but there is still a problem: the files are un-indexed, so you cannot seek through the files (you are forced to watch them beginning to end). Catch22 of joystick fame posted a program called ASFIndexGUI on the media board a while ago which I have mirrored (click here again be friendly /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif ). This program is easy to use, and all you need to do to use it is to browse for the Source ASF file and click Add to Queue. A warning: while the program works well, it isn't the most well-made program. Adding more than 12 files to the queue and hitting Process will cause the program to crash halfway through, so only do 12 at a time. After the files are processed, you can open them to check to make sure the program didn't mess them up, and then delete the old files. The ASFIndexGUI program will make a new file with 'idx' right before the file extension. You can delete these 3 letters from all the files you process if you would like.

    It is the partner of the game from the first game of CHIBITA and OONUKI team.

    Semifinal. OOSUAKIRA, MUKKIAKIRA team.

    ok I ain't gonna be a pain here but I to have had the same probs as Arch and BareK. I got streambox and a while ago the links all worked for me in streambox. After a while, it didn't work or links wouldn't download. I've learnt like every single guide about Streambox that ppl have posted and it still won't work.

    Could it be our connection company since we all got the same thing.

    Sometimes the connection will be dropped and you have to click on the downloads in streambox's window and restart it. Make sure they say 100% complete. Also the program will have two downloaded files. One with .asf extension and the other with .asx extension. Remember that you only view the .asf files. You can just delete the .asx files with the same names, as they are only links to the stream content.
