VF4 Evo Akira Combo Search

    [4][6][P], (small dash), [2][P], DLC

    i got this to work on aoi closed stance... it does 1 more damage than the p, dblpalm. Anyone care to test this any more?

    (Homestay Combo #1)

    mC, closed Stance on Aoi

    Shrm, low P, Knee, Dbl palm.



    (Homestay Combo #2)

    After evading Kage's rising attack(The linier one)

    Yoho, P, K, double palm (It normally doesn't connect even on MC)



    ( Maddy combo #1)

    On Jeff and Wolf, closed stance, normal hit

    Yoho, P, single palm-elbow(Timing is strict but does 2 Pts more)

    Just wanted to add something i found out:

    Vs Aoi, open or closed:

    [2_][6][P]+[K](MC) > [6_][P] > [3][3][P] > [2_][4][6][P] 94 /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

    Not checked using knee instead of yoho but it may work. Might work vs Pai and a few others too.

    [4][6][P], [6][6][6][2][P] (superdashing lp!), DLC Aoi, Pai, Sarah & I was too tired to make it happen vs Vanessa but I think it will because...

    [4][6][P], SDLP, [K]+[G],[P] works for p, dbpm numbers (55 & 67) vs the ladies.

    [4][6][P], SDLP, AS3 is oddly enough, not TR/QR'able for 62 (& I suppose 50?) vs at least Pai & Aoi.

    Apologies if this is old but I only just found out the other day that on normal hit vs some light weights, you can get a jab in after shoulder ram (something you can't normally) ie

    [2_][6][P]+[K] > [6_][P] > DLC NH c 64

    I got this in against Sarah so I assume it may well work vs Aoi and Pai but not checked anyone else.

    Um, here's a Manji combo then:
    After evading Kage's backturned kickflip, (i.e. (BT) [9][K])
    Yoho, [P], [6_][K], DbPm
    also hits.

    I'm not sure about the damage, occasionally I get 78(normal?), occasionally 85 (mC?) If yoho MC:s Kage (TT) punch or smthn after kickflip, one might get 93..

    I think that the combo might connect whenever Akira evades some slow Kage attack so that Yoho could hit Kage from the side.. Have to test more.

    78 on normal hit sounds right and 93 on counter is what the combo gets in a "normal" situation.

    Knee,yoho,DLC in LW 96 DME on CH

    Wish I could do that damn ,knee. but it doesn't seem possible with a pad.

    Anyone know if this combo works?

    ABC,[2_][6][P]+[K],DLC

    Knee is very possible on a pad, just practice more.

    ABC isn't even a true combo on it's own so no, that combo wont work (if you were serious).

    Nope...

    ABC and DLC should be used primarily to finish combos and shrm is a float starter so it's actually impossible for that chain to work...unless maybe you were playing on some of the strange unlockable vs mode options.

    But if you want to try and chain some Akira strings together you can try,

    SPoD (into wall) > ABC or knee/DBC

    these are true combos (you could try DLC but off the top of my head I don't think it would combo properly)

    Okay, thanks for the info. I had thought that since the ABC ends in the down position like the [4][3][P] that you could immediatly follow it with a [2_][6][P]+[K] to float an opponent into another combo.

    One more quick question. I've been practicing in free mode and the game says that the best way to follow up the the yoho is like this

    [3][3][P],[6_][P],[2_][6][P]+[K],[2_][4][6][P]

    But it seems that after the [3][3][P] and the [6_][P], there is a recovering time and I can't get in a ducking position to do the [2_][6][P]+[K]. Is there a trick to this, like using [3][3][6][P]+[K] instead of [2_][6][P]+[K] or do I have to hold [2_] immediatly after hitting [6_][P]. I'm just starting out with Akira and I can only do like 20% of his combos but I really like him so far and I'd appreciate any help.

    Sorry for the noob questions

    Yes, buffering a crouch dash before a FC (from crouching) move modifies it to work from a standing position. You can enter it as
    [3][3][6]+[P]+[K] or
    [6][3][2][3][6]+[P]+[K] or
    [1][1][6]+[P]+[K] or whatever, as long as you hit two of the same diagonals before the [6]

    DE (MC, closed stance)>DLC brad, kage, goh, vane, aoi, pai, sarah & jacky (timing is strict for jacky).

    works on sarah in open too!

    MC brad's [6][K] with shrm for shrm, p, yoho, dbpm in open stance (checking stance after float).

    Here's how to do one of the homestay combos. (source: Konjou AkiraKUN. Thx, Rodney) =)

    To connect Yoho, P,K, Dbl palm, you should use the P+K instead of his normal P. P+K is the one that gives you +2 on block.

    After Yoho, quickly input P+K, K, Dbl palm with no delay. 78 w/o counter and 93 w/ counter.

    ok here it is cool look combo for Akira with wall :

    CH [3][3]+[P],[P],[4][6]+[P],SDE(wall),[P],[K]~Knee - in LW Characters only , distance from Akira and wall in moment when SDE hit must by perfect... correctly SDE must hit in the same time when oponnent hit wall
