Actually let me reiterate I recently have gotten better but realized when it comes to real comp I have a shitload to learn.
I haven't gotten worse it's just that I'm not progressing as
fast as I'd like. Eh, what's that? Back to work? Oh and I gotta
go teach after that at my school? Wait, the gf is calling. Hmm
oh snap I have to work on my script.

maybe I can squeeze in some vf.....lets see.....

On my end I'm coming to the end tail of my Army enlistment.

    About 2 weeks!? I'M OUT

I might end up having so much time on my hands I wouldn't know what to do.

Yeah, real life gets in the way of VF a lot XD
I feel you man, this can be a time consuming hobby if your goal is to be the best.
One thing I learned is that things that work on the cpu, usually dont work on humans. You might be able to get them a couple of times but if you're playing anyone close to good, they will adapt and counteract.
That's why I have to two sets of playing styles. One's for the cpu (crap like Brad's slipping P+K over and over will get you a win even against Conquerors) and one's for humans (not giving away those secrets though, heheh)

My brad blows ass so any secrets would be wasted on me.
Hah, so does my Jeffry. Just call me ass blower, AB for
    short:p

Actually after being all but humiliated by Low_Sweeps Vanessa
yesterday, I realized I don't even know the first thing about
those advanced defensive techniques: fuzzy guard, TTEG, TEEG
GEET, FUCK, and the like. I couldn't throw him worth shite or
hit him. Not to mention he reacted 50x faster than I did.
I guess I'm going to have to do SOME reading before I can keep
up. He had me laughing to hard as he countered everything I did
though. Bastard definately had some time in the game even
throw escaping most of my shite. (Not that 3p+g is that
hard to figure out lol. Here I'm thinking:

Doods always playing FFXI he can't be THAT good.

Now that I think about it, MMORPG's take patience. I have anything but lol. Maybe I need a WoW account. Nah, I want
to keep my job, girl friend, 6 pack abs, and perky bottom.

I KID MMORPG players. Like I have a job.

lol it was fun playin u SuGarMan. I guess it just takes a while to get good at the game. As you said i really don;t play VF that much cause FFXI is sometimes more fun when im on private chat with some of my friends. Although iam playing FFXI i do think about VF from time to time and come up with hypothetical strats. Then when i get on VF i try them out and tweek them until it works in a real match. I guess DOA4 helped me in a way with playing VF because a lot of the strats transfer over. And i use to play the hell outta that game back in high school.

Besides MMO's won't keep you from working, havin a girl, or exercise. I go to school full time (although im on break now), workout 5 day a week now(cause i don't like getting beat up in sambo), and still find time to go out with this girl in my nursing class.

^ No game will prevent any of that stuff unless you let it.

I know XI all too well, played it too much. I had a blast with friends on there, but since playing it, I'm not sure I want to play another MMO. I get too hardcore into them and won't stop till I hit my goals =/ For example, with FFXI, I imported it at JP release for PC. I didn't stop playing till about a year ago. If it weren't for many of my original friends leaving and me completing my biggest goal, I'd probably still be on there non-stop haha.

Actually, I can play MMOs again if I approach them really casually, but I just can't play XI casually lol.

Low_Sweep just kidding anyway man no need to explain the MMO world I just don't get it. Probably never will, then again this is a guy who used to play Dungeons and Dragons. Yes, I'm an old fart who had to use his imagination to fight against dragons ghouls and attack the darkness /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif All these fancy graphics are for wimps huhuhuhu.

Actually if these things were hot when I was younger I'd probably be the worst kind of player. But really I can't see any of that being possible on my schedule. Shit I tried to fit D&D in my schedule. Sue me I thought it was fun!w Got a bunch of pals and couldn't even do it once a week. Lets just say I my life is very complicated.

Not to mention when you get old you get tired faster haha. In the new year due to a foreseen schedule change I'm not sure if I'll have time for this even. Kinda sucks but eh I want a
    new house ;!

(Oh shit erase, erase, I never played this guy! For shame...losing to a DOA player!)

    I kid....

Eh boils down to it, good players are good players.....and old bastards like me are old bastards like me. I bet the best Tekken player can probably with not so much effort beat an average VF player at his own game.

    DOA shouldn't be any different.

I play as every character, and do better with some than others - but that's more reason to play as the "weaker" character more. I got pretty beat up yesterday with Sarah, I know I'm good with her, but I'm not up to the level I am with some of the others - due to the fact that I haven't fought any good players with her until recently. So I need to fight more expert players with her and take a few beatings so I can learn more on what works and what doesn't work.
