There's a difference between 480p and 720p though, right? And I WOULD rather have the whole tournament in one video, but I can't upload a video that big. It takes about four hours for me to upload five minutes of footage and I recently started leaving my computer on overnight in order to upload more. Four, or five matches a day overnight is the best I can do. Unless there's something I can do to get them to upload faster.

    This has its advantages, too.

Hd pvr 2 should be easy to find on amazon

It has it's own software but since it's a video recording device pinnacle studio find it's without problem, never tested it tought.

Yes there is a difference between 480 and 720p theres a difference between 720 and 1080p as well, it's that just youtube scales it down, and the game doesn't even support it. Not to mention if your actual TV is not HD with a HDMI cable setup then recording in HD (720p) or True HD (1080p) would be a waste, because you can only capture something in HD if it's HD?.
As for the large video uploads there are plenty pieces of free source software tools you can download (especially if you're on Windows os) that'll compress your video to a smaller file size, so you can upload faster to youtube.

What cables would I need to connect my TV to the HD PVR2 to my laptop, all with HDMI?

After experimenting with different resolutions and video formats, I found out that while Youtube does support 720p, my videos still end up in 480p because that's what they were originally captured in. The quality of my recent uploads is slightly better because I've been capturing the footage at a higher bitrate, but they still can't be scaled up any higher than 480p with what I have and all rendering them in 720 does is take up more memory. I also figured out that if I save the footage as an MPEG instead of an AVI the files are much smaller, so I can upload more in the same amount of time. In fact, I uploaded eight more matches overnight.

you need an hdmi cable to connect your xbox 360 to the hd pvr 2. Then from the hd pvr 2 another hdmi cable connects to your tv.
An usb cable (not included in the package) will connect the hd pvr 2 to your computer/mac/linux system.

Once you install the driver (in the box you will find only the windows based drivers, but you may download other drivers from the hauppage website) you will see the hd pvr 2 as "image capture" device and use whatever you want to start making a video clip. Also there's a software included (still for windows) that allows you to record the video and setup some option (bitrate, brightness and stuff like that).

But i have the hd pvr 1 which uses the hdmi component cable, i have the same result but a lot of thing more to connect and i can't use an evo monitor for that since it doesn't have a component enter.

Ok so we talked about this a little b4 so here are some ideas I came up with for the future secondary events.

    1. The switching of mains. So for example I'd play as wolf (lol) and Bloodstyle would play as Eileen (LOL!)
    2. Tag Teams. So there would be 4 teams assuming the room is full (It's always full), and Blood you know how that bracket stuff works so you'd handle the elimination procedures and stuff.
    3. Tweek the room settings a bit. That could be interesting. Ex: Unleash Dural, 15 sec rounds (if it even goes that low), or 5 round elimination battles.

Of course you can mix and match this stuff to make it s weird as possible. Thats all I have for now, if I think of anything else ill let u know.

Interesting ideas. But when will there be secondary events?

Oh by secondary events I mean the tournaments held on Saturday nights. The ones on Thursdays would be the normal format events like we've been having. Yet I dont know how constant they'll be with hosting them.

The replays of the last tournament are uploading right now. Winner's set 4 didn't capture correctly, but I'm going to redo it tomorrow.

All the replays from every tournament have now been uploaded, except the one from this past Thursday, which is still uploading as I type this. I also put together a playlist of each tournament, so if anyone wants to watch a whole tournament at once they can, or if they just want to see a particular match they can do that too.

I got an HD PVR2 and recorded some matches between BloodStyle, Craigbot and myself. Here's a preview of how the uploaded matches will look from now on. I had to split them into two parts as the file was too big to upload in one video. Part 2 is still uploading but should be finished soon. Also there's no sound, but after troubleshooting the problem, I now know why. There will be sound next time.

Nice, very clear now once you get to the 720 mark everything's cool, actually I dont know what you did but the frame rate seems 2 be incredible slightly better than Zero Quality's vid I posted here 1st.

That will be weird, youtube always changes the framerate to around 30fps

The only thing I can think of that I did that would effect the framerate is saving the videos as MPEGs before uploading them instead of using the direct upload feature. MPEGs can be 60fps, which YouTube scales down to 30 anyway, but when uploading directly to YouTube the software first saves the video as a WMV file, which is only 25fps. I don't know which method Z3RO QUALITY used, but this is my best guess.

Here are the replays of last night's casuals. Should I post a new thread for the casuals, or continue to post them here?

The replays of both of last week's tournaments are up. I muted the audio in the first video at the request of the other players. The voice chat would have distorted the in game sound.

If you watch the videos on Youtube there are links in the description, so you can jump to particular set.
