Got my customs bill for the hgs today, £29. Pretty happy with that, I expected a lot worse.

 

I have been one lazy motherfucker in regards to vf this week so if you're all gonna own me in revenge for last week then this week is the week to do it.

I doubt I'll get a chance to check in before I go to bed so I'm going to presume graeme wants a fish supper and he'll text me if I'm wrong.

Graeme - Better than last week but still a bit worse than two weeks ago. Genuine advice that's not meant to make me sound like a dick. You need more confidence and concentration. You're capable of playing a lot better than you did today. Some very nice wins here and there though, and a good streak in the middle. I think you're a little too used to certain sequences being effective with Lei that you're hands go ahead and do them without your brain having much to say in the matter. I do this a lot with back dash 9K+G. I think it's making us both eat a lot of damage we really shouldn't


Li - Nice streaks here and there especially early on. You were really dominating! We're not quite at the same level as our epic stressful evo encounters but I'm sure it will happen soon enough. Good to see you'd adapted to most of the bullshit you were eating last week and I had to adjust tactics to beat you. Your Shun seems twice the character your Lau is now, I encourage you to embrace as much brokeness as possible.

I thought I played pretty well but my own concentration wasn't really there either. I didn't feel like I had the intensity to play Kage the way I like to play him for most of the night so I just screwed around. I do feel pretty good about my overall standard of play though. I'll try and be more serious next week. If you guys have any criticism of the way I play it would be nice to hear.

I worry about that becoming quite offensive actually. When I did Pai's 64P+G to Li 3 times in a row I was thinking "I must look like a complete cock doing shit like this all the time."

Can't speak for others, but I don't find it offensive, it's something you do in games other than VF also, so I think it's just hardwired into your system. Playing for fun/entertainment rather than playing to win. Either way both scenarios usually work out anyway.

 

Did you try starting a UK ps3 account? It's a doddle, bought TR no problem.

Played it for 6 mins and went back to VF.

 

I tried doing it yesterday afternoon but the network was busy. Got it sorted out last night, didn't buy TR, or anything else for that matter, I was hoping for flow.

 

The KS4 final is awesome by the way. Lei v Shun. SHU in particular looks awesome.

Itabashi used up all Shun's luck in KS3 to win the final, SHU is hence so unlucky this time around. Lei's combo ability is one of the strongest in the game now do you think? He has so many ways to launch the opponent into the air!

Yeah you played very well in the last few matches, i shouldn't have messed with wolf so much.

I thought I was good overall. Seem to have sorted out all my command errors from a couple weeks ago at least. My reactions felt very sluggish for most of the day though. I felt I threw away a few matches I could have won if I reacted a little bit quicker. Didn't use the stance quite as much as usual this week and I think that hurt me a bit too.

I was happy that I finally stopped wasting the side crumbles I was scoring. I also think I am starting to get kind of okay with Pai and that she's a lot of fun to play.
