Regardless of the results a lot of fun and WTF games today I thought. In fact an excellent session all round in my opinion, but if you think there is anything I can do to improve future sessions or the setup itself please let me know and I'll try my best to act on it.

 

the set-up is idyllic. Anyone new coming to the scene would think highly of it for sure. The High Grades definitely make me feel a lot more comfortable too, the FS3 was sufficient while it was the only option, but I doubt i'll ever touch one again other than to wipe dust off from it's surface.

My stick wasn't there when I arrived home /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif Apparently my flatmate was so focused on playing World of Warcraft that he didn't hear the knock on the door when the delivery came. Have to wait for the re-delivery tomorrow then...

Lost too many matches today, must be my worst performance since we started playing. Must spend some time to study the frame stats before next session.

edit: The sticks are fantastic. The touch of the stick and the buttons feels so comfortable and the command input is perfect through out the night. I'm sure the build quality of this piece of hardware will even impress my friends who never touched any fighting games.

Most of the matches on the first tape were surprisingly decent I just watched the whole thing straight through. Mostly thinking "man I'm awesome" Will do a massive media post at some point.

last night was pretty awful...I feel like I should actually apologise because I really couldn't get to grips with a proper mindset for playing VF last night. Not to take away from Ryan, you were pretty awesome regardless last night. Even if I had been playing as well as I'd like to I'm sure you'd still have owned the show.

 

I thought Li played decently yesterday (considering he still doesn't have the game) but you were definitely a lot better on thursday so I'm not going to make a big deal out of my FORTY wins.

All kidding aside though I am starting to feel very comfortable with vf5 kage and I think that's starting to show. Even with his loss of raw damage I think the pressure I can apply from stance really suits the way I play the game.

My god of war 2 finally showed up today hopefully i can drag my way away from it enough to get some practice in for this thursday. I have this sneaking suspicion you're all going to be highly motivated.

Many thanks for posting these vids. In fact I think this is an excellent source for me to learn and improve my game. I found so many mistakes on my part which I'd never noticed when I was actually playing.
