    i was thinking of this same kind of trophy thing, there is this shop near my house where you can bring your own logo or text and have it sewn into a cap or shirt, maybe i could get a winners cap made and the champ can wear this as a token of respect untill someone else steals it from him?

Get your fucking eyes check you fucking scrub. Ik heb het echt met je gehad twan, je bent echt alleen maar 1 hoop met negatief gezeik tegenover mij.

    Very cool meeting, I'm learning more about the game with each meeting I go to (probably since I don't really play VF outside of the meetings) =].

    The drive home was reaaaaally cool, I was driving through a forest, where there were NO lights and it was really hard to see where the corners were, I had a good time there; adrenaline pumping!

    @Spoon: Thanks for hosting! Future Cop was kind of a letdown for me (memories are always better, haha), I didn't like the camera and the controller wasn't really working properly in this game (I couldn't walk straight :O) and the fact you had that overpowered weapon wasn't helping either, haha. Still cool, to have played it again after all those years =]. Don't feel too bad about losing to me, I got lucky a lot of times and I was really scared during the first match, you just lost focus during the second one. Also, I know I'm not really in a position to be giving you tips or anything, but it seems to me you don't create enough situations where you can actually get damage, which is the point of the game in the end. You're only getting damage from your reversals, throws and 66k, which isn't much in the end (kind of the same problem I have, haha). We gotta play some more next meeting! Nice job beating Twan, too =]!

    @NGKrush: I don't think I'm below Pascal, tbh, but that's just me , maybe. I don't really think of this game as DOA, problem is that I don't really understand the game yet, or maybe it's more that I just don't know what options each character has, or at what kind of advantage/disadvantage I am after 95% of the moves in the game. Just inexperience IMO. I'll get there...some day.
    Jeffry is still a beast =[.

    @Fulaani: Sketchy Lau still owns =P. We had some fun games, I thought the levels of our game sharply dropped after the first 15 minutes or so, I got kind of tired, haha. We'll continue our rivalry at the next meeting =p.

    @Yrvin, haven't played you after our first session. You're really good =D, your Wolf was messing me up and Lei Fei was superconfusing, keep it up /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

    @Ake: Niet veel te melden, volgende keer spelen we!

    @Sofiane: Wake-up tackles ftw! Het waren wel leuke matches die we hadden in het begin, vervelend dat je inputs constant fout gingen :(. Volgende keer beter!

    Ga nu denk ik 50/50 met Goh en Lau spelen, Lau is zoveel effectiever dat het bijna nutteloos is om met Goh te spelen (zo lijkt het nu, althans), zal er op letten dat ik wat minder nutteloze shit eruitgooi met Lau (niet superserieus met hem gespeeld+ik vind 6f+k gewoon te cool =p).

    Enough VF for now, ik heb een DOA toernooi te spelen =]

    @Spoon:
    So you’re started to incorporate cancels into your game, eh? Nice! Try to work on your throw escapes for the next meeting as I feel that in this area you could improve. And the double low punch for the win…eh, I mean draw was hilarious. Thanks for hosting and hospitality.

    @Fulaani:
    You have a deep understanding of Eileen as you explained several setups with her which I didn’t know yet. (thanks for sharing your info with a fellow Eileen player). I hope that you now have a better understanding of Shun from our matches. Just need to work on those ETEG timing which I think went pretty well towards the end of the meeting. Also try to vary your strings. I mean that in many cases when the first hit was blocked you still continued the string (hoping for a hit?) which ended (usually) in a punishable situation.

    @Mikeleroi:
    Your Wolf was too much for me this time around. I noticed this already during the last meetings. Your game is so stable and those throw escapes are awesome. You really have a nose to sniff out throws. Not just out of -12 disadvantage moves but also random ones. Great yomi. From our matches I’ve learned the most. I need to step up my game without any drinks and continue to improve my throw escapes.

    @NGKrush:
    Well last but not least…12Politie?????. Again I was impressed with the flow you put into your game. A lot of those heavy hitters/very punishable moves connected. Usually I don’t have any comments since your game is already very good, but this time I noticed you choked sometimes. Making weak decisions such as going for the throw (which I escapes only a billion times, well maybe not that much :)) instead of a guaranteed hit. auto pilot syndrome? Oh, and you didn’t send me home sober! Maybe you need some tips from Yrvin? Lol

    As for the rest, everyone had to be somewhere this weekend so I didn’t get the chance to play everyone that much/at all. We’ll play next time. grtz

    @ake, yeah you are totally right. i choke a lot of times during games vs your shun as i totally have to change the way i am using my attacks. I found out now that i shouldn't be so busy keeping your drinks low as it usually costs me a throw or combo that gives you even more. for the next meeting i'm really going to try to learn what works best vs shun so i don't have as many of those situations.

    @krye, yes, that is what i mean. you should try to focus a bit more on offence as there is so much more damage to get out of that kind of game. you have some nice things going on, you just need to flow them together to be really scary(try to make some flows in theory by comparing frame data(if p hits in ch, what can i do that is uninterruptable, etc). tbh i put you lower than pascal because he has played the game longer and knows more characters than you. my goal with this list is to post a new one every meeting and just show how i feel everyones evolving and it's all my personal opinion anyway, everybody has his own list.

    @spoon, it's just my opinion dude, relax. take it or ignore it , i don't care.

    Greetings fellow citizens. The big weekend at Spoon’s was a blast. I had a great time and was glad to see almost every Dutch VF5 player was present. I especially liked the fact that everyone was helping each other out and giving tips where necessary. That’s the kind of attitude we need to improve our game and climb to a higher level. Overall, the vibe was excellent. Many thanks to Spoon for being a great host and props for his weird sense of humour.
    The Krushmaster was looking forward to our intelligent replies about the meeting. So here is mine.

    Akebueno: Finally, Shun was up to his old level again. I could see you had practiced with him. You had some new tricks this time and they were succesfull against many opponents. Those dreadful lows are annoying you know. Keep it up.

    Fulaani: Have you been playing a lot on X-Box Live or something? You seem to know a lot more about the game now. It’s showing in your matches. You have a good mix-up game ready and you keep the pressure going. I like that.

    Sofiane: It’s always a joy to watch you play. Akira is such a bad ass character and I like his style very much. You had learned some new offensive and defensive stuff from what I saw. Your execution was a lot better this time too.
    I always have to give 100% when playing against you.

    NGKrush: One word. Stoomwals. Have you even lost a match, dude? You seem to own everyone with your Jeffrey. You use the 4+k,p move very well. I don’t know if you practiced with him at home but you made very little mistakes. I almost never see you play a bad match in tourneys.
    I haven’t played you much this time, but when I watched your matches you were pounding away. Props!

    Vortigar: I was very impressed what you did against my Wolf. It seemed you studied him very well. You were the only player who punished my moves consistently. You also read into most of my tactics and adapted to them. I had a difficult time winning my matches against you.
    Your Brad upclose gets very scary sometimes. You have a good defensive game going and never miss your combos. Too bad you didn’t have time to stay the whole weekend. Maybe you would have dominated other players as well.
    Well done, Mr. Burns. And props for Lion as well.

    Spoon: Aw, what a nice little kitten. And look at all those lovely elephants. O-oh there’s the psycho killer sheep. Yep, that pretty much sums it up. LOL You seem to use more of Aoi’s movelist now and that’s a good thing. You were less predictable than the last time. You mix your throws well and always fight in your opponents face. And you used ground throws more often too. You make good use of p+g~6 and switching between a guaranteed hit or another throw. Usually I stop from using mid hits because of your reversals. And that low wake up kick reversal combo ending in a low throw is nasty! Damage! Keep on improving, mate. We’ll meet again.

    Masterpasje: I have never seen you play against someone else besides me in years so that was cool. We haven’t played each other but that’s ok.
    You played your regular game with Sarah and the results were 50-50 from what I saw. I hope you learned a lot of things by playing other people. Looking forward to your improvements next time.

    Krye: I saw you fuzzy guarding, tech-catching, catch throwing and 270 throwing with Goh. All in such a short period of playing the game. We have a talent here. You have a very distinct style of play which is hard to play against. I really had to adapt to some of your damaging setups. Also your Lau is looking very nice. Maybe even better than your Goh?!

    Seiko Killa: Lekker voor je!

    Signing out…

    Damn, I had almost no time this past week to sit down and type my input of this meeting, so here it is finally (better late than never).

    First of all, many thx to Spoon for hosting this meeting at your place, I had a lot of fun during the days I could stay and you were an excellent host.

    On to the player analysis:

    NGKrush: Nice to see some more Jeffry this time, although I had took my time to study El Blaze so I was hoping I got to play El Blaze too. Anyway solid matches we played and your Jeff is still beasting a lot of people so it seems.

    Spoon: Unlike NGKrush, I thought you actually improved this time, I saw a lot of solid stuff from your Aoi this time and we played a lot of fun matches on Friday. Personally I think you played the best vs me and Mike le Roi on Friday, and after you played Master P, it indeed looked like you played worse than before you played vs him. Nevertheless you improved, and hopefully your Jacky will learn more than 7K+G :p.

    Fuulani: This dude is levelling up fast man! Already he knows his main inside out and is playing quite solid with his 2nd character too, although I hadn't seem much of Kage, because you were having fun with Goh and his anti Sofiane techroll trip move :D. Keep up the good work.

    Krye: Another guy who levels fast and was also abusing the anti Sofiane tech roll trip move, lol. Although your Goh had good moments, I think your Lau did better overall as somebody already said. Keep playing and practicing both characters and you will be with the top in no time.

    Akebueno: Next meeting I will kidnap you and we're gonna play first and play a lot, cuz we never play each other a lot and that sux. I really need to sit down a day and learn Shun's moves and frames, because frankly I don't have a clue how to play against him with Akira. We will also battle each other on a ps3 cuz we were hurting the most from not playing with our own stick/pad, as was noticable in our failed inputs at times. Although you said you hadn't played much, I still think you leveled up somewhat, probably because you can adapt very well during the matches. NEXT TIME GADGET, next TIME!!!

    Mike Le Roi: I hate your Wolf! seriously, the fucker is so annoying, at times I lost my confidence playing against him, which is rare for me. On friday you were getting pretty pwned by Spoon and me, but on saturday you transformed into a killing machine and was fucking a lot of peeps up (14 winstreak against ake, wtf!). Your Lei Fei is shaping up nicely as your 2nd, having some fun tricks in your bag already, but as I told you during the meet and NGKrush said it in his post, there are better juggles you can do with him, so try learning those instead of the evo ones. I think your the nr 1 at this moment too.

    Vortigar: too bad we didn't got the chance to play each other during this meet, hope you had a nice birthday! I definately want to play you next meet, cuz I hear lots of good stuff about your play.

    Masterpasje: Learn how to block.

    As for myself, I learned a lot again during this meet, I'm starting to get a hang of ETEG and am incorporating fuzzy a lot more. Was beasting a lot with Pai too this time, such an easy and beefy character, still searching for a fun 2nd character, I am just wading through each character untill I find one I can stick with as I've been doing with Akira all this time.

    See you guys next time!

    Back from Germany, got a 4th place, but could've done better :(.

    Got a little scoop for y'all (won't reveal my source, but it's a reliable one): VF5 will be the fighting game in WCG'08, so start practicing!

    I'm thinking about using stick from now on, my d-pad is getting worse and worse+I don't like having to recharge my batteries everyday =p.

    Any plans for the next meeting?

    EDIT: It'll be the 360 version that will be used and concerning 360's, I just read that the prices are being dropped down to 199.99 euros (without HDD) and 269.99 euros (with HDD)!

    The scene and skill is growing steadily here in Holland. Though its kinda hard to measure without some outside insight (ooh, see what I did there?). Be cool to hear what you think if we ever meet up again.

    Krye:
    Going to stick?
    You won't regret it, you'll get the hang of it soon enough and it really does increase input speed in the end.

    WCG? Dang? I don't give myself much of a chance, seeing as NGK and Yrv at least can solidly whoop my ass if they really need to. But we could all give it a go. I also wonder what'd crawl out of the far corners of the country beside us (not much I suppose, but hey, new faces are always welcome).

    Sof:
    Been too long since I've faced you.
    What'd you think of Sagat's SF4 incarnation?
    They finally upgraded that piss-wimpy tiger fireball of his to something with a little more oompf.

    @ Ogi: good to hear from you in this thread, I for one am very curios how much you must have leveled up there in Japan. I know it will be a good experience for us all when you come back and gonna pwn us :p.

    @Krye: I don't know if you are satisfied with your placing at the doa tournament, but congratz anyway. Good to hear you are going to transfer to stick, Like Vortigar said, it's learned quite fast, especially when you can learn fast like yourself.

    @Vortigar: Sagat is cool in any fighter he has appeared! (excluded svc, man that game is garbage all over the place). He looks very promising in SF 4 and will definately be my nr 1 character I will use in that game. He is my nr 1 favourite fighting game character of all time.

    @Bumfood: Personally I don't mind to travel to Tilburg at all, as I have traveled as far as France for tournaments,etc. It's more a problem of getting free time from my work, since I am almost every weekend scheduled for work :(. Just curious: why does it take you 2 hours to travel to Spoon? To my knowledge it's about 45 minutes from Tilburg to Utrecht and from Utrecht to Apeldoorn about 40 minutes. Or did those NS bastards fucked up the train schedules again? (last time I went to Tilburg was about 2 years ago I think).
