Thanks for the matches tonight Fulaani, I learned a lot again and noticed that I was getting a little better bit by bit. Thanks for the patience . My execution is getting better by every match I play but I need to stop falling for your little tricks that I should easily be avoiding. I also need to stop making stupid mistakes and input errors because they are costing me matches. At least most matches we played I was getting 1 or 2 rounds in even if I lost them. Also thanks for explaining the basics to fuzzy guarding and throw escapes to me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Input errors will dwindle over time, they used to be one of my biggest enemies when the Dutch VF-scene started.

Funny to talk of it like that but when I got in touch with Sp00n and NGK at the beginning of last year it set the wheels in motion really. And now we're at 10+ people, barely a year later. Has that momentous one year anniversary passed already? Ah, we'll dedicate the tournaments to it during the next meet.

I had the idea to start tallying ranking points during the bigger meets? Ranking battle style. Once per quarter or half year or something.
#1 = 10 pts
#2 = 7 pts
#3 = 5 pts
#4 = 3 pts
#5 = 1 pt
Draw up an excel sheet to keep the score, instate an 'Official Dutch Tournament Scheme'. (ODTS, is that short for anything already?) We keep bumbling around with how we're going to handle it every time.

You know, just getting something organised at all really... However basic it may be.

I'll draw up a framework for it and we can discuss it 02-03.

And we'll worry about money matches along the way okay NGK? ^_^

Great idea Vort, I was thinking the same thing a while back but forgot about it, will all the previous tournament results count or will this be the "new" season?

I won't be able to bring any machinery, I can only bring 1 stick for the meeting, I'm sorry. I could bring cables for either machine (also VGA for 360) but let me know beforehand please.

I can't wait for this weekend, I just got home from Sweden yesterday where I came in 6th in the Guitar hero Tournament (out of 32) and I had a blast, now I've "given up" Guitar Hero to focus on Virtua Fighter 5 because that's the game that's giving me the challenge now, and the fact that I'm able to play with other people irl is a real challenge as well /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Looking forward to seeing you / meeting you all this weekend. I'll probably call in sick for work on saturday so i can be there on friday but i'll have to be 100% sure about that before I do it

I'm not really one to comment on wolf players but it seemed to me you had most of his major damage oppertunities down already.

I borrowed a 360 stick from my brother so no troubles for me anymore concerning PS3's, X360's or convertors. No complaining about crappy sticks, now it's my crappy stick! I'll also take my PS1 Namco stick just in case.

I was planning to come on Friday and I will contact Spoon about this tomorrow. I tried to reach him several times already via phone but got scared and ran off when I heard his voicemail. This is no joke!

I am looking forward to Bumfood's Wolf and how much it differs from my own. Or maybe we play the same who knows... I've heard a lot of good things about Fulaani(Kage?) too so that's interesting. And hurray hurray Spoon plays another character. No more failed reversals attempts x 1000 from Aoi. That's so boring to watch. And I want to see why Krye won his home tournament with Lau. I am so excited!!!

As of late I've practiced a lot on punishing blocked moves and I hope it pays off coming weekend. Aaaaand I've ditched Akira and Lau for a new 2nd character. You will see him in action on March 1st.

Whether your Wolf is up to par or not, there will probably be style/approach differences, which could point Irv to some other stuff he hadn't thought of. In any case, I'm also curious to see the differences. The two Eileens (Akebueno/Fulaani) also differ a bit, but I'm not too familiar with her moveset.
