So tell me minions, what have become of this weekend?

 

Had a lot of fun /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I learned A LOT. I was first to arrive on saturday and the rest arrived quite quickly after that (except for sofiane ). I played some matches with Krye and he was really kicking my ass with Lau. After that we moved all 2 TVs downstairs and played downstairs for the rest of the weekend.

I won a whopping 1 match against NGKrush and got my ass kicked by everyone else . I'm sure the rest can tell you a lot more

 

Weekend was cool!

Played a lot against Bumfood and Master P. (>=D), Bumfood didn't really have a basic game yet (no disrespect!) and Master P. was never ever blocking anything (no disrespect either!), so I stopped throwing completely, which carried over to my other matches.

Not saying I would have won if I had thrown more, but I think that was my main weakpoint, other than completely relying on the ppp-string-mixups!

@Bumf00d: You got a lot better over the weekend man! Even if you didn't win a lot against me, I could tell you were learning! Those dodge 'n throws with Wolf were scary as hell, haha! I hope you'll start training your game at home, so we can see more improvements by the time the next meeting comes along =]. Also, this guy is crazy good at GH3, even if he was complaining about missing a note or two, it was still really cool =], the songs you picked weren't that cool though =P.

@Fulaani: Gotta stop falling for your wake-up setups! Too much damage!
Thanks for hosting man, the Spinach-pizza was delicious =D, as was the nasi (english?). Didn't play enough casuals against you, but I'm sure we'll get to that at the next meeting. Once again, great host!

@Master P.: You never blocked! Lau had a great time against you, just because of that! Nice job on getting 2nd place man, those were some nice comeback upsets you made!

@Sofiane: For some reason I had a very hard time against you with Lau. You said it was inexperience from my part and the fact that you played Lau yourself, I guess that's true, I still felt like I could've done better though =(. Guess I'll be using Goh vs you at the next tourney =p.

@12Politie: Personally I think you're a notch or two above the rest at this time. You make it seem to easy sometimes, haha. Nice job on the win! We gotta play some more casuals at the next meet.

I think I'm going back to Goh for now (never dropped him, but was planning to have Lau be my secondary for a while). I'll be working on seeing my punish opportunities and basicly my defense mostly.

bumf00d, I didn't play you all that much over the course of the weekend but I imagine you learned some stuff. We'll have to spar online soon so I can see some improvements.

Krush, you make it seem easy. That's all I can say really. Next meet though I want to have somewhat of a long session with you as I feel I can learn the most from you.

Sofiane, drop the tekken nonsense, lol. Good offense dude. We just need to get those TEs down.

Krye, I beat you, ha! You have good instincts. But I don't like Lau and am happy ypu;re not giving up Goh for him lol.

As for myself, I need to play more. Back around the time of that first meet I was busying myself with VF all day every day. Wich was the reason I can hang with you guys. But as of late I'm getting distracted and it's showing in my gameplay. I'm not satisfied about where I'm at, I do some of the stupidest crap and proceed to lose a match that I should never have lost, ugh. I hope I will imporve over the next few weeks.

Anyways I hope you guys had a good time, that was fun.

PS. Krush, I'm serious, next time we're having a long session, and not at the end at the meet but in 'prime time' so to speak haha. Out of this group you're the best at finding and exploiting our mistakes, I need that to advance.

 

hey guys, the meeting was very nice, props to fulaani for getting poeple together on so short notice and the great nasi and prawn crackers, bumfood, it was nice to meet you too.

@ful: we'll do that dude, i always enjoy playing you and like i said monday morning, your kage is very nice already, i was impressed as i hadn't played him yet.

@sof: seems like you are getting back on track, our tourney match felt crappy for me, little things didn't work, but with a little bit of effort you'll be back at top speed for the next meet!

@bum: you improved a lot over the weekend, i hope you'll watch some vids and check out some wolf flows and setups and get some great consistant powerjuggles, hope you can make it next time!

@krye: nice lau already, you know how to pressure and space with him rather nicely. hope you play some more goh next time too! it seemed to me you learened a lot of new tricks with him

@pascal: it was great you could join us so suddenly, it seemed you could play along well with all of us.

Sof called me on Thursday but I really wasn't into another weekend. Been reflecting on my game hands-off a lot and something I remember Fulaani said made a connection. I'm not telling what, too embarrasing in hindsight. Somehow everything turns into some kind of contemplative/religious experience with me... ^_^

I feel like putting on some ERA right now.

First of all, many thx Fuulani for hosting a meet at your place and providing us with enough food, etc.

This is maybe a little strange for me to say, but I'm liking the 360 version 10x more than the ps3 version. Akira is so much more fun to play, shoulder is finally useful again and I can do stylish combos that do a little more damage instead of the boring and easy as fuck bounce combos.

That said, onto the player analysis:

Fuulani: I had to begin with the host, although you said you hand't played much as you usual do and lack of sleep, I still think you played very solid. Eileen is really though to fight against with all those stagger stuff, and your Kage is beginning to shape up nicely to! I had the best matches against you, and I even began to throw escape against Eileen the next day we played.

Krye: Your Lau is ok, but you need a lot of improvements on some stuff with him. I know Lau the best next to Akira, and you got away with a lot of stuff against other players than against me. Nevertheless you played solid through the whole meet and try to play Goh more, so I can steal more strats from you .

Bumfood: Yeah, a new face again in the scene! You adapted pretty fast this meeting, I can see you have a lot of potential, if you play more against us, I'm sure you keep up with the rest of us soon enough. Try to experiment with the other characters and choose your character from there.

And finally mr NGKrush: Dude, we have to stop avoiding each other aside from the tourney! As for your view on the matches, I only thought it was crappy at the beginning and I felt I was gonna lose this one with an easy 2-0, that was when I switched my gear on and started to fight back. I still lost 2-1 and it was close, but from that moment I think those matches were fun. I think you should really consider El Blaze as your main instead of Jeffry, cuz I saw very little of the big guy this time again, plus you play a lot more varied and solid with blaze (this has probably to do with the fact that Jeffry has little options). Congratz on another well deserved victory, but next time I will study El Blaze and come after you

I won't comment on Master P, cuz he doesn't come here so its useless to tell something to someone if he doesn't read it.

As for myself: I played a lot more relaxed this time, and I also trained on my defense, which showed only a little. Fuulani was the only one I played alot who also throws frequently (Krye didn't as he already told himself and NGKrush I didn't played casuals with) and I can see after I play a lot of matches against the same character, I'm also using more throw escapes if I'm eating them a lot, which is good I think. So next meet I'm going to play a few players that throw a lot many times and improving my throw escapes in that way.

Anyways I had a blast and see you guys at Spoon's meet in 2 weeks.

 

After reading all the aftermath of the meeting at Fulaani's I am really getting excited about the big weekend at Spoons house.

This year I can finally practice VF at home and I hope it makes a difference next time I meet you guys.

Also a big welcome to Bumfood and Master P(my apprentice)!

I'll try to make a habit of posting here after every meet, but usually I'm too lazy to leave my cave.

No just kidding(or maybe not). I will seriously consider the money matches, but they will have to be recorded. So afterwards I can tie you to a chair and make you watch how I beat your poor @ss. How's that for a psycho killer!

haha such a nice loving relationship the two of you have. My execution of Wolf's moves is getting a lot better now and I will be sticking to him. I just need to practice a whole lot, getting the timing right on moves and combos and executions are my top priority at the moment, at sp00n's i'll be "good" enough to at least not fuck up my throws anymore i hope /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Ik zal proberen om op zaterdag vrij te regelen of vrij te krijgen ( dmv me ziek te melden we zien wel), als het niet lukt dan vertrek ik rond 14.00 uit Tilburg op zaterdag, reis duurt iets meer dan 2 uur maar ik vermaak me wel op de een of andere manier in de trein -_-

 

The picking up thing is not definite yet, my parents won't be sure until like a couple of days in advance for some reason (yeah, I know it's lame, but I can't help it =/).

I'll bring my Gamecube, so we can finally have that game of smash bros!

trouwens krye, je hoeft guitar hero niet per se mee te nemen, tenzij mensen me willen zien spelen oid. Ben van plan veel virtua fighter te gaan doen (DUH)

Als ik guitar hero meeneem is het niet om jou te zien spelen, dan is het om zelf te doen >=D, maar die gitaren meeslepen voor een half uurtje spelen is een beetje overbodig, ik kijk wel tegen die tijd.

En als je niet langer dan een half uur kan luisteren, luister je waarschijnlijk naar slechte muziek, je nummerkeuze in GH3 wijst ook die kant op >=D
