1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. It's confirmed that Version B Revision 1 does not contain any gameplay/balance changes.

I guess they're concentrating on VF5 Revolution or whatever. Anyone willing to take an educated guess as to when we'll see that hit Japanese arcades?

Hmm, considering that there won't be gameplay changes should put ps3 owners at ease. It is disconcerting however on a progress level with regards to the game's development. Let's see what Sega has in store for us (if anything) in the future.

I don't get why people are sooooo upset to hear there are no gameplay changes? Is there anything broken[1] so bad that it needs fixing? Maybe AM2 are content with the gameplay for the time being? If anything, I'm glad there are no gameplay changes yet! It means my ps3 port, which I've yet to even play, is still a valid version!

I hate how people keep alluding to VF5 Evo (or whatever). What's wrong with sinking your teeth into the game you have right now in front of you? Have you all completely exhausted all it has to offer and crave something new?

I say again: love the one you're with.

I'm actually relieved like Jerky and Myke have said. If there were gameplay changes I'd be a bit miffed about owning the PS3 version.

I think the current version that we have is already very balanced -- will post more about it tonight. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Just for clarification - I was only asking about a sentence that I quoted (PS3 changes - one in particular - moving your character to other people console - which is IMO impossible due to economical factor) - I do not think that VF5 is broken in term of balance - just from watching movies I can tell that I do not see any character really better then the others - I never played the game though.(considering EUR PS3 price that might not change any time soon /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif )

I would much rather see people complaining or bitching about item update for PS3 version.

Exactly. I have been playing this nonstop since I got it and still feel clueless about it. I play eight or so characters and really am only comfortable with Lau (and to a lesser extent Jeff). I can win some with others, but mostly by doing the exact same things I did in Evo.

And yes, I would also be pissed if the game were changed for the 360 version. Let them add a new rainbow thong for Lion, a new afro or two for Jeff, but don't touch the gameplay for at least a year.

I am honestly shocked by the bitching I read on this site. The way SEGA is going, VF could someday get the Sonic treatment. Then the bitching would be justified. But VF5 is awesome. Stop whining and be happy you can play this game which is, to date, the best fighter ever.

Now ppl can play the PS3 Version and not have to worry about Japan being ahead in the VF scene even though they are but now we can play this at evo and not have to worry about Japan not having any disadvantage because our version is old..

VF5 is very balanced and any character can win it just takes work.

I don't think anyone is actually upset. Hell, PS3 owners are (should) be happy, and from my understanding, Japanese players are tired of all the gameplay changes (they always need to adjust). I think the real question on everyone's mind is "what exactly is Sega doing?" New items are definitely nice and all (chest hair for Akira? Awesome /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif ), but if they're happy with the game's balance (and why shouldn't they be?), then what are they working on? I doubt items and Knockout Trial are taking up all their resources.

A VF5 evolution is probably the best answer to that question. I don't think anyone would be surprised if they did it. They've done it in the past, and even though, I believe, only 2 major 3D fighting games have done it (VF4 and Tekken 5, then there's the 2D games like Street Fighter 2 and 3), it sorta feels like another standard set by Sega (in the 3D fighting game genre). So it's sort of expected that they do it. I don't see what's wrong with asking when they'll have it done. It's not like anyone's actually gonna hold out for the evolution version. Hell, I only played a few matches of VF5...and I look at VF4 Evo...God, I need a PS3... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

So, yeah, everyone sort of expects an evolution version, so why can't we be curious as to when that version will get released? I don't see the harm in it. It's not like it's gonna affect our love of the version we have now.

Well, the thing is, most of us don't have the game in front of us and since most of us don't have VF5 yet (would I really be posting here (in this thread) if I did? I doubt it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif ), we got to have something to talk about. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

At least, that's how I see it. That, and I really like the name I thought of:

    VF5 Revolution /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif >.>

Then again, they could be working on another game from another series or they're on vacation...I doubt that though. =P

Since when do devs get vacation time? Unless, I suppose, you work at Ubisoft (everday is a vacation!). <.< /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
