Going through some of the combos on Shun right now:

    DS

    b+p+k CH: 1-2DP

    > p+k,p > f+p,k,k does not work
    > df+p > p > f+p,k,k is either hard or impossible
    > p+k,p > f+p,df+k does 74 dmg but only if done up close (players back to the wall position, whifs from centerposition)

    df+p+k NH: 1-2 DP

    > p+k,p > f+p,k,k requires different delays depending on foot stance
    > d+p+k > p > f+p,k,k is either hard or impossible in open stance
so i recommend df+p+k > d+p+k > f+p,k,k to play it safe, same as taka, to sober 2DP

    db+p+k foot crumple: 0DP

    intruder hook: 0-1DP

    > f+p,k whiffs on open stance
    > f+p,k,k does 8dmg less than the max dmg combo
    > only f+p,df+k seems to works consistently for trivial damage, i recommend not trying to sober

leopard strike sabaki: no changes, 1DP

    b,b+k+g: 0-1DP

    > d+p > f+p whiffs
    > f+p,k whiffs on open stance
same as intruder hook, i recommend not trying to sober

    df+k sidecrumple: 1-2DP

switch to OS combos both remove 2DP (remember to use the OS p+k,p ender after the OS d+p+k bound)
DS combos same as df+p+k, meaning stick to d+p+k > f+p,k,k for 2DP

DS wall splats: no changes, 2DP

    OS

    uf+p: 3-4DP

    > bread and butter jab > d+p+k bound > p+k,p or df+p+k,k 3DP and 64 dmg
    > p > f+k,k,p,p also does 3DP for 2dmg more
    > closed d+p+k > k,p,p 4DP for 3 dmg more

    f+p+k NH: 1-2DP

    > p > d+p+k is techable on closed, does not combo into anything else sobering
    > k,p,p 2DP 55dmg (15dmg less than the max open stance combo but only 3 dmg less than the max stance-independant combo)

df+p CH: no changes, 2 DP

    > d+k,p,p for 2DP and 58 damage (NOT 64!)
    > BTW i discovered that df+p CH > df,df,df+k,p,k is actually a true combo. it does 63 damage (and sobers 1DP).

    p,df+p CH: 1-2 DP

    > d+p > d+p+k > p+k,p sobers 2 for 68 dmg

    f,f+k CH k: 2DP

    > Hold F+p > d+p+k > df+p+k works from both stances for 2DP and 83 dmg.

qcf+k CH: no changes, 2-3 DP

    > db+k+g > k,p,p for 3DP and 80dmg
    > db+k+g > f+p+k > f,f+k,p for 2DP and 82 dmg
i recommend the first one obviously

    uf+k: 1-2DP

    > k,p,f,IS k > p+k,p 1DP and 86 dmg
    > df+p > jab > d+p+k > p+k,p or p+k,k 2DP and 80 dmg

    db+k+g: no changes (k,p,p for 2DP)

I messed up recently and posted a bunch of combos in the wrong thread.

Anyway, after this rather extansive testing, i'm removing some obsolete combos from the combo list. The criteria i will be using are "significantly less damage", "more compicated for less damage" or "does not work seem to work".

I will list them here for reference/contention:

[4][4][K][+][G] > [K][K] vs Taka: does not seem to work, less damage than [6][P][3][K]. Replaced with [6][P][3][K].
Same starter, [2][P]->[K][K]. Less damage than [6][P][K][K]. Pointless.
I want to repalce [2][P] > [6][P][K][K] too but i'll wait to test on Jean.

(Hold [G]) [8]/[2][P] > [2][P]->[K][K]. Same deal: less damage than [6][P][K][K], works on less characters. Pointless.

[4][P][+][K] CH > [P][P][K]. My bad, i was the one that added it as a reference, to compare with the standard combo. It clutters things up. Removed.
Same starter > [3][P]->[P]->[2][P][+][K]->[6][P][3][K]. Less damage than [P][+][K][P] -> [6][P][K][K], works on less characters, travels less. Very flashy combo nevertheless.

[1][P][+][K] CH > [K][K] Taka special. Does not work. Replaced with [6][P][+][K][+][G] that does work.

[6][P][+][K] > [3_][K][K]. Does less damage than [6][6][K][K], does not yield better oki, has a more difficult input. [6][6][K][P] does 2 less damage, but at least has better oki.

And tested everything i could about Taka.

    Awesome! Poor Kage ;)

Thank you for your feedback

I'm assume that, if MakiLeSushi wrote this one down for Sarah and Vanessa, then Maki obviously tested it against Sarah and Vanessa. It might be a timing thing? I'm leaving it in for the time being.

It works, the only case that it won t work is on an exact fall recovery, but this is hard to succeed so the combo is efficient, that s the reason why i pu it on the combo list. (Maybe i should put that it doesn t work on exact fall recovery...). But in case of a player who does exact fall recovery, input [2][K][P][K] instead of [2][P] -> [6][6][K][P] (works only on CH, tested on Van)

Oh. I don't think we are supposed to add those types of non-100%-guaranteed combos in the combo list :(

Aaaaanyway... this discussion is my fault. Maki had tested for Sarah and Lion, not Vanessa. I read the WRONG COLUMN. My apologies for the mixup, everything was and is fine :)

Now, please, can anyone test what's the deal with [9][K] -> [K][P][6][K]->[P]->[2][P][+][K]->[6][6][K][+][G] apparently doing less damage than [K][P][6][K] -> [3_][K][K] ? how is that even possible? I'd love to test that discrepancy myself but our TV is still at the workshop. I assume the 92 points of damage are for the CH; NH should be around 88 since [9][K] -> [K][P][6][K] -> [P][+][K][P] does 86.

Record this combo and try to recover with 10 try... U ll see that it s efficient =)
About the combo u talk, i think it s about the hit combos... As u know, (for exemple) if ur 2nd hit is a P and ur 8th hit too, this won t be the same dmg... in the combo KP6K->3KK there is only heavy hits which makes good dmg and in KP6K->P->P+K->66K+G ur P and ur p+k are not heavy moves, it s little dmg, then it makes the 66k+G lose a % of dmg coz it s the last move... there was a topic about it but i can t find it

Well, i finally have a new TV, so the first thing i did was test the damage in the dojo.

Unfortunately OS [9][K] > [K][P][6][K] > [3_][K][K] does 87 damage. CH damage is 100. So i don't know how the combo list ended up with 92. Fixed.

[CS, OS] vs. Pai, Lau, maybe others. Add stomp for +5dmg

Also if you finish the vs. Aoi combo with [6][6][K][K] it's 123dmg

Ok, just after realising that these combos are for "Stagger recovery: Slow".

If you put the opponent on "Stagger recovery: Normal" then [3][K] won't splat, but you can still get:
    [6][6][P][+][G],[3][P]+[K], [2][P][+][K],[6][P][+][K][+][G]
    >(vs. lightweight) OS [1][K][+][G] [ender]
    >(vs. Jacky) [ender]

    Enders being OS[6][6][K][K] or [6][6][K][P]

    I'm sure there's more possibilities.

Maybe DS [6][6][K][+][G] still wall splats on "stagger recovery: normal".

Anyway, can you get anything for "stagger recovery:fastest"? Maybe diagonally to the wall?

Nothing combos on "Stagger recovery: fastest", not even DS [3][P] :(

DS [4][4][P][+][G], [6][6][K][+][G] splats but doesn't give enough time to make [P][+][K][+][G], OS [1][K][+][G] bound.

    Best I've found so far is DS[4][4][P][+][G](wall stagger)[6][6][K][+][G](splat),[6][P][+][K][+][G], OS [3][K][P][K],[6][6][K][P] 101dmg

The [6][6][K][P] is NOT GUARANTEED on off-axis.
Also note that the timing to get [6][6][K][+][G] to splat is really weird.

*edit* today's testing was vs. Sarah.

You can combo with a 16f move with Fastest Stagger Recovery if are far enough from the wall.
You can even do it with 6+P+K+G which is 19f if you are far enough.

    The problem is :
    - you have to jauge correctly the distance
    - even if it combo, the way that the following move can hit is inconsistent, since the opponent is turning

You can easily get 107DMG by doing 44P+G, "ws"P, 2P+K, 4P+K, 6P3K, KK, if you are a ~dash distance from the wall.

Fixing some gaps in the Vanessa combo list.

    (OS) Pile Bunker
    (vs. Lau)
[6][P][+][K], [P], [3_][K][P][K] Open Stance only, strange timing.

[6][P][+][K], [P], [2][P][+][K] Open Stance only, doesn't bounce in Closed stance.
    Can finish with anything, i.e.
    >[6][6][K][P]62dg
    >[3_][K][K]/[P][+][K][P]/[3][P][+][K][K]/[6][6][K][K]64dmg
    [6][P][+][K], [P], [2][P][+][K], [2][K][P][K] - does not combo

    (OS) HAWK Strike
    (vs. Lau)
    [9][K], [P], [2][P][+][K], [2][K][P][K] connects both stances

    *CORRECTION*
    [9][K], [P], [2][P][+][K], [K][P][K] connects from Closed Stance only!

    (OS) Bunker Buster
    (vs. Lau)
    [9][P], [P], [2][P][+][K], [2][K][P][K] connects both stances

    *CORRECTION*
    [9][P],
[P], [2][P][+][K], [K][P][K] connects from Closed Stance only!

All other combos with (?) whiff.

    (OS) Short Upper
    (vs. Lau)
CH [3][P], [3][3_][K][P][K] connects both stances

CH [3][P], [3][3_][K][P], [2][P], [6][6][P] last hit connects in open stance, but it's a green hit - not true combo.

    (OS) Hunting Kick
    (vs. Lau)
    CH [6][6][K], [6_][P], [6][P][P][K] connects both stances

A big thank you on behalf of every vanessa player. Implemented almost everything except

OK, i changed it, but just to be sure: did you check for normal hit AND counter hit?

Accoring to the Acebreaker Combo Notes translated thread these combos are from open stance :(

For the time being i'll mark it with a question mark, change the comment to "Stance specific combos - still in testing" and wait for someone to confirm your findings a second time (currently i'm unable to st up my xbox because my mother is visiting & her bed is in the living room, blocking the TV).

Yup, but as noted this is (OS) Bunker Buster [9][P] combos vs. Lau.
He's too heavy to be kept afloat even in CH situations.
What happens is when you do [9][P]/[9][K] it PUTS you into Open Stance (after the floater) - I think that's the confusion.
If you start the combo FROM Open Stance, the final hit of [K][P][K] whiffs.
