UK Players: UMSD version2.0 Tournament

I never played Ex2, alpha has a guard break though. It uses up one of your super bars.

 

Ahh yeah. Only played for like 10 mins before.

Excel is crazy though (think it's 3 super bars). Totally psychedelic, the screen goes black and white lines and your moves go ultra fast and weird. Only lasts for a few secs. One combo in the trial part is to do 6 fireballs in a row whilst in Excel.

 

Just to mention that I am happy to bring Guilty Gear along (perhaps Isuka if people fancy it)? Isuka requires a chipped machine though and I'm not bringing mine, vanilla PS2 only /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

 

If some of the london mob are going down is it possible that maybe they'd be able to upload some matches of the tournament?

 

Yeah if I manage to make it up there I'd be happy to oblige.

 

Just thought I'd let you know I used to have the highest score/fastest times on SF:EX back in the day in CVG (when it used to be good with the highscore in Freeplay). I'll see if I can find it and bring it to the tournie, actually I used to have the highest scores on HOTD, some fastest times on Time Crisis and even Parappa the Rapper! LOL /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif God, I feel REALLY old now!

What about good old Tekken Tag? Will their be a chipped machine? Cos PAL Tag is crap, does anyone have the Jap. Original for Will's machine? (I have the American original and American Back-up version's).

Well the thing is, I reckon that list is a little ridiculous already. I was just listing games that peeps will have the chance of playing since I own copies of most of them.

I mean most are travelling to play VF and that's what most of the day is going to be about I hope.

As Andy said, he'd prefer to keep it real with VF all day seen as though there'll be a load of players he wasn't played at VF before and may not get a chance to again for a while. I'm probably in the same boat as him but I'd also lke a game of Pro Evo or SF2 somewhere too, just for a laugh.

 

I only mentioned Tag cos Ryan has just won the tournament for it at Evo2k4, I personally couldn't care less about ProEvo, but it ain't too bad cos Beautiful VF will still be waiting on the other machine(s). I'm not going to play Tag TBH, it's just good to see it played at a high level, but at the end of the day, I wanna Flamingo and TFT the living shit outta people as much as possible, VF VF VF VF VF ! LOL.

I was talking to Jun about this tournament and he seens VERY interested about going and possibly taking his misses along with him

Also, i wont see you guys in Troc this Friday cos a few strong Judo players are coming to my club on fri and i wanna try to bang'em up and learn from them /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
plus im working on Sat and dont want to get home too late

dont forget me! im all for this! just a note, LM, i know ur hoping to do ALOT of games (sf, pes3) but i really dont recommend it. VF gatherings tend to take time, and if you only have 2 setups (which aint bad) i dont think ull have the time to finish everything on one day if ur adamant on doing a PE3 thing and SF ( look at the absoultion fuckup!)

just a thought.........

 

hypersf2 kinda makes the capcom5 and sf2 colection redundant

for get playing EX's as well

should just have evo,hyper and iss

maybe tag, (hell its all ive been playing)

also has hypersf2 got 60hz mode???

 

it's funny how this thread was made so that people don't to wade through a load of crap, yet people are taking about Street Fighter combos and nights out in town. not that i care, it's just a shame that Chris's hard work is going down the pan /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

anyways, i just thought that i would say that i only really want to play VF, so i don't care what other games are being played as i suck as them all!

Chris, what time should me and Andy aim to get there, coz i want to be there when it starts so that i can get games against people as they roll in. plus, if i am to be helping officiate, i will need to talk to you about whats what.
also, you might want to post a list of official rules nearer to the time, so that everyone has got no excuse for anything.

thanks for the vote of confidence. just thought it would make things easier on Chris if someoen helped officiate, and as most people are too spineless to tell people what to do, i decided i should volunteer. (everyone already thinks i am an ass-whole, so i have nothing to lose).
