After endless searching and enough phones calls I've only found one cheap garanteed way to Manchester and back. Basically it works out cheaper for me if I go with you lot rather than make a trip to Manchester by myself then TRYING to find a garanteed train back to Reading.

So my trip will be 5day cheap return from Reading to London Paddington and the minibus to Manchester and back.

So, with the acception of one group (Group B), all groups are equally balanced with 3 south heads and 3 north heads.

If anymore decide to come (or can suddenly make it) then ideally we'd need 4/5 players (since Nakura is only a possible).

This is the last time I'll post anything about groups. They'll stay as they are until the day and if there are changes to be made I'll do it then (I'll have plenty of time on the friday night hopefully to crunch through some numbers).

Oh and for anyone who's interested (and coming on the friday) we should have Tekken Tag, Soul Calibur 2, Guilty Gear X, Street Fighter Alpha 2 Dash (and loads more SF games) and Pro Evo 3 available to play if anyone wants to. Oh yeah and Golden Axe /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif. And Mario Party 4 /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We already have 3 set ups organised so if you guys could bring one as well we could play all group matches at once and get through them all in no time. (we have 60 to get through currently).

Plus it'd mean more games for everyone overall.

 

the groups look cool, but who is Jason? how good is he and who does he use?

as for set ups, i can bring everything except a T.V. so if you can secure another one of those, we can have another set up.

Anyways, really looking forward to the tournament, even though I didn't get to practice/play with as many people as i would have liked.

To all the northners:
Prepare to see some skills, if you like VF just watching Ryan will be a treat for you.

To all the southeners:
Other things you might want to do. Even though there won't be that much time to do other non vf stuff i might as well list some things that are manchester exclusive. Even though some of these things may seem a bit dry to most people i will list them any way...

Lowry Centre/Salford Keys

Pretty much canary warf with more shops, cinemas and stuff, the main thing here though is the lowry musuem, its a little far out but its very interesting for people who are interested in art and stuff.

Style Mill/Quary Bank Mill

These Mills are millie... sorry /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. This is where the industrial revolution started, its got a great tour and shows you how all the workers got mistreated etc. If it wasn't for these these mills and all the kids that died in them there would be no VF today!!

i donno if i can bring a vt, as it would be to awkward even with a 14inch set, but i was thinking, i can bring a VCR that can record ANY signal (NTSC or even PAL60) so you could record all of the matches from one of the set ups

hell i also could bring a lip mic and somehow lash it to the audio input of the VCR so someone can comentate over the recording

what do you lot think?

I'm loving the sound of a mike and some commentry going on...who'd be up for doing it? They need to have an over the top style and know the name of every VF move in the book to shout it like mad when someone uses it /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Ade will have his chipped PS2 with him (as well as mine, wills and Mikes) so all we need is another tv actually. It may be possible to work something out my end to get another tv but that's quite unlikely tbh.

If Steev can make it he said he'd bring his tv, so that would solve the problem.
