UK Players: UMSD version2.0 Tournament

Hmm...I'll need to crunch some numbers and find at who is 100% certain to come, THEN I can start to add people to groups etc...

 

I've found a house in Newcastle (not upon Tyne, before you ask), so if I manage to get it then I can come /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif - just to let you know.

The only thing we're missing from the meet is a token Irish or Welsh player...then we'd have the whole shebang LOL.

I'll see what I can come up with regards the groups and post back asap.

 

We are looking into travelling on the Friday I think. It'll be better as far as getting games are concerned. I'll get back to you whether this is going to happen or not, the only other problem I see is if you can't guarantee that we can enter the tournament.

I've aready re-shuffled the groups in my head so I can guarantee you both have places in the tourney and a roof over your heads for the friday night too.

So, essentially, I don't see any problems occuring for either of you if you can both make it.

This group of players are coming up on the friday also but staying at my place on the friday night (the ones in brackets are "maybes" atm).

Lead and IronMike are both bringing a set up each up on the saturday morning and the rest of the players will travel then as far as I'm aware.

Please speak up if anything seems wrong to anyone.

To those who are staying at mine, I've no problems with catering for everyone and that but I'm going under the assumption that no one will be planning on getting 10 hours sleep and waking up to an ensuite breakfast in the morning...if some want to get some sleep we can arrange that and if some want to play games all night we can arrange that as well as we'll have my own room to use as well as the large communal tv room the tourney is being held in. If you're planning on geting some sleep then can I ask you to bring a sleeping bag if poss...and don't forget your jim jams /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

I shall demand one of the rat eaten sofas in that room and sleep on that I thinks. Really hope I can make this, just have to hope that I can move in fairly quickly to this place I have found.

 

Yeah, my plan is that if people do want to get some "proper" sleep for a few hours they use my room and the rest of the group who want to stay up we move into the tv room, where there are 3 couches and a load of chairs etc. So people could crash there as well for a bit if they wanted.

Groups

Ok, to re-organise the groups, I've dropped out and will solely organise things (with help from Shaun) and Nakura has dropped out too. This means we have one or two modifications to balance the scales...

Vososr1 takes my place in GROUP A.

Jeffahn takes Nakura's place in GROUP B.

Faded takes Jeffahn's place in GROUP D.

Stroppa is in GROUP A.

Then we're back to 6 in each of the groups and it means if we have one drop out or so on the day, there will be "reserves" to take up the place and make up the numbers once more.

I'll re-post the full group listings again soon.

As it stands, these are the final groups (finally!LOL).

I'm currently working on some rules and conditions for the HSF2 stuff so I'll post them up later today, along with a list of players.

 

Hiya Chris, as you know I havent been able to use the internet much so am not clued up about the tourney. Please could you kindly PM me and let me know what is the setup i.e. how many matches we get etc. I cant trawl through all the pages on this forum cos im not allowed on the net at work anyway. Thanks. If noone else wants to, I can capture all the movies for the tournament as long as someone has somewhere I can upload them to. I use a sweeet 60 grand edit suite at work so can do all the movies pretty quickly. Cheers if you can PM me Chris.

Essentially all I need to know is whether or not you're coming to Manc on the friday or the saturday and if so, at what time.

These are the numbers of players. On the day, there'll be 2 prelims, totally random and drawn from a hat to get the group down to 8. Then again, there'll be a totally random draw from the hat to sort out who plays who, straight knock out.

One character only, but all 5 versions can be used.

Akuma is banned.

Fights are best of 3 rounds, 99 time. Oh and CPS1 music as it's the best /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Turbo speed will be decided on the day.

Rounds are first to 3 wins (ie only outcomes can be 3-0, 3-1 and 3-2).
