Do you think we can all put aside any differences we may have with one another, from now on until the actual day we all meet up and play, please? I'd hate to see the thread get really stupid over a few misunderstandings.

Andy, i have seen you call this random guy (and many others) names for much lesser crimes. i wasn't canlling him anything on the basis of him not agreeing with me, i was calling him this because of his cowardly attitude towards which pads are acceptable and which aren't.

regarding sf2 speed, well in absolution and evolution they have it set to "turbo 3"

but hyper sf2 has the fucked up'd issue of turbo 1 being world warrior speed and turbo 2 being super turbos "turbo 3" speed!

i think at ryans we was playing it at turbo 2 after much debate!

everyone knows the dreamcast pad is shit for fighting games, optimus reiterated what i said, it depends on the pad, and the fact that its less movment!!!

besides vf3 had a messed up Cding, not as easy as its in vf2and4!!!

No I don't need everything pointing out just the things that would make what you say make some sense.

When I said "you don't have to be a prick" I was already annoyed by your earlier reply where you made it seem like asking you a question is a crime.

As for "everyone knowing" about the dreamcast blah blah blah, obviously not everyone does otherwise I wouldn't have been asking at all. I don't have a dreamcast or VF3 so I wouldn't know about the pad. I whole heartedly apologise for having the nerve to ask you about it, I realise I was wrong and am sorry to have wasted your time.

The whole less movement thing came after your post when Optimus was kind enough to actually answer the question I asked you.

Anyway whatever, this is just gay.

So you're implying that pads other than the PS2 pad give different performances, so I ask about the dreamcast pad since VF3 was on it. What's so hard to understand about that? You didn't need to make your reply so snotty did you?

Oh my, what's happened to this thread is sad. I think I will have to give this event second thoughts. I didn't realise it would be like this. I got better things to do than spend money to go and break up fights and stuff.

How is it possible that a thread was made for a tournament turn into such bullshit. We've had discussions of the Tournaments to groups being unfair from pad players being cheaters now people wanting to break each other's faces. Why is there always beef over nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope this don't change anyones ideas of travelling up here. I was really trying hard to bridge the gap between north and south VF players.

I'm sure things can be sensible on the day though. I mean SlimAdey and Ev2 have hard far worse arguments on our north UK VF thread and yet everything always gets resolved and sorted out in time to play VF. I mean look at the first few exchanges Elite had with Faded and now look at them.

I seriously hope everyone can put aside any hard feelings for the time being.

I can't believe this bullshit, I want all the London head's to come down to MC and have a GOOD TIME. Chris has put a LOT of effort into this, I hope it goes ahead as planned. I hope Ryan/Jide and ANYBODY else that is considering dropping out to come, it'll be a top day and I know myself and Chris have foaming mouth's in anticapation at the prospect of this tournie, PLEASE RECONSIDER, I can't wait, it's gonna kick ass. I came back to check this thread for more information about the tournament and what do I find?

Page 22: Filled with insults and degradement (apart from a couple of post's).
Page 23: Threats of violence???

Don't worry I'm still coming to the tournament but i would like to say a few things.

After back tracking, this all started with Jericho's abusive outburst about pad player's in general. But this was resolved thanks to Ryan and thing's were quiet again. That is until Random brought back the subject of pad's and this was but the start of insult's and degradement which eventually lead up to threats of violence.

Now with all this going on this has most likely put off a few people from coming to the tournament. LM Akira has most likely gone out of his way to organise this tournamnet and now because of a few people his effort is now being thrown away in vain. After reading this thread and feeling slightly disgusted, I felt i should share my point of views about this tournament in general, pad/stick player's and anything else I can think of.

First point is that this is a simple small UK tournament get together on home consoles.
This does not hold the same value as Absolution and EVO2K4 where we are not playing for money but for fun as well as our pride.

Second point as this is a home console tournament not an arcade tournament, pad players should be more than welcome to compete. About the button bindings fiasco, I have no problem with button bindings seeing as that some time they are vital to playing (you try dancing with Lei Fei on a pad and see where that get you and I don't mean Heruru dancing), I mean try pressing K+G with your thumb, it's not possible unless you have a button assigned for it. I have my preference which is sticks but I'd rather play someone at their best rather than play someone with with a handicap i.e their not good with sticks and using a stick. Many people say to learn sticks but that's top replicate the arcade feel (but also people get a bit fussy about constant pad/stick changes).

And finally most of us are coming up to Manchester to play for fun, play different styles and a chance to meet up as whole VF community. So I hope that people reading this can actually really think back and ask themselves "Why the bother". You have nothing really to lose in this tournament (well maybe tournament placement and train money but just that) and for also Jide, Ryan and other's to reconsider their decision to coming to the tournament.

I would hate for LM Akira's hard effort's to go to waste and I really do hope that the next time I look at this thread, I see no insults, threats or the like because it really is pathetic.

I too can't wait to play all the different styles of player's coming, to see all the different setup's, combo's, movement etc etc people are capable of. I know LM (Chris) has dedicated a LOT of time to this tournie (as he has done with all the MC meet's in the past) and it WILL be great for VFer's. VF is losing the battle to Tekken and Soul Calibur (at least in the UK), I don't really see the point in VF player's attacking each other, there's so few of us as it is!

Can't wait to play top level Lei-Fei, Lau, Lion, Akira, Jacky, Shun, Kage etc, it'll be (without exception) the greatest day of VF I have played (if all goes to plan, that is!).
