Oh yeah Akuma certainly will be banned in the tourney (like Dural) I was just joking.

    Instant recovery + Air Fireball + 3hit Fireball = CHEATING /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Also you do realise World Warrior character have the edge, for the fact that they take of more damage than there super turbo counterparts. throws!! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Guess I'll be using Championship edition Vega. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yeah man that's why I use WW Guile. He doesn't have a super but his damage is sick /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

Just messing around with Akuma before...his combos are insane. Oh, same for Super Turbo Sagat, especially when you get in a fierce Tiger Uppercut!

Ummm what's your problem? No need to kick off like that because people use pads. People use pads for VF too, do you have a problem with this as well? It's only a game man. No need to have a go at players because of how they play a video game. Besides you haven't even said whether you're coming or not yet.

Hey Jericho, wassup? Hope all is well and that.

I am just writing to say that I don't think your offensive post was necessary. You are talking as though you are at Sims and we are all busting joke together, but you don't even know these people and this is a VF forum and VF isnt even a game you major in. I think you should hold it down. What's the point in giving people the wrong impression about you right from the word go? If you were a pad player how woud you feel about Mr.Jericho's post? Know what I mean, just relax.

    One: It's only a game.
Two: As well as playing games the event is about meeting people and having fun.

From your post it doesn't seem you have adopted any of these two mentalities. Your post doesn't relate to these two points, but I think these two points are what everyone who is coming should have in mind. Anyway are you even coming? If you are not coming just say you aren't (although I hope you do come, I know it will be jokes), and if you are then say you are but don't come on here, say neither of the two and just slag people off. Look how old we are now, we have to allow that stuff man. These guys are having an event and inviting anyone that wants to come so I don't think they deserve your verbal abuse. If you have a problem with a particular pad player then maybe just take it up with him via private message or something. Peeps are safe in the VF community, just chill.

Look at the title of your post, if you talk like that then no one is gonna wanna know you. Either because they think you are too arrogant or because they are scared of you.

    Hope it works out,

I'm sorry about that LM, I don't know why he is going on like that as he doesn't even know you or any of these people but hopefully he'll apologize or edit his post.

No harm done at all I was just a little taken aback by the out burst.

I should explain I play VF on a stick but I play SF on a pad (I'm now trying to use my Hori) since I originally learned the game on my cousins famicom back in the day and there were no arcades near me at all with any SF games in. There still aren't now. Since I've only been playing VF since VF4 and only started playing with a stick 2 years ago and not played that much SF really in the past 2 years until Hyper came out (no one to play), I've never bothered to learn it on a stick until recently.

Still, I hope he does come as I'd like to see a really good player play the game in the flesh.

Yeah, It'd be cool to play a top SF player, plus we still need 2 more player's for the group's for VF!

Hi, yeah oh my gosh, the Famicom days, I used to play stick in the arcades and pad at home. Pads were so cool. I wasn't that bad on pad either /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif but there are these two brothers in America that are really, really famous on SF for their pad skills. When I went to evo I couldn't believe my eyes. He was so good at SF but when someone said "Hey look what that guy's using"! I looked at his hands and I couldn't believe it, he was using a pad, but not just any PS2 pad, but the old American snes pad with the purple buttons. He must have had it re-wired to fit the ps2. I was so impressed. He beat player after player without losing any games. He used everyone as well. You should sponsor him to come for the tournament, hehe, just kidding.

Hey Slim, you need two for VF? Ok I'll see who else wants to come.

ryan safe 1st off yeah that message was for people playing streetfighter cos its skank on pads people doing bullshit and u know it.
but i was a bit harsh cos i just realised that i never mentioned the word streetfighter in my post.

2nd at absolution i got skanked by certain heads in are group using such nonsence binding moves and u remember i asked you if it was banned and you said yes then things were overturned in seconds anyway i aint blaming you for that.

3rd to the people who do know me like me or hate me thats upto you since i never got my stuff back from absolution i dont trust nobody hardly apart from a few certain decent heads
thinking about coming i will let you know once i have spoken to stalwart

but your making it sound like i have no reason say or speak my mind at all

but on the otherhand for once i shall say sorry to Lm_akira for that i did make an error but i still hate pad users

They spoil all chances of games living on the outside

    Yeah Ryan, we need two more player's. Group A & C have 5 player's and B & C have 6.

Playing on a pad goes over my head nowaday's TBH, but I remember rinsing SF Turbo on SNES with the old pad (I miss the old SNES pad!). I'd hate to not be accustmed to arcade stick's for trip's to Trocadero!

I can use stick and pad, for me I see it as an advantage, If there's no sticks you can use pad and vice versa,
Seriously I recommend people to learn stick though, if only for the fact you can bring your skills to the arcade. Also the games were made for stick control, why not use the correct equipment /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif
It's gonna be fuuny though when tekken 5 comes out, people bringing pads to the arcade! ^_^

Quick update on my situation - still have nowhere to live during my stay at keele, i suck ass. If I have nowt I can't make it, end of, as I will be commuting or something (for a short while at least).

Really would quite like to come though /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

No worries man, besides I've now started using a stick for SF seen as though it was made to be played on a stick (and I have a good Hori one now) and I'll be able to play it in the arcade. I'll still be a mediocre Guile player if you come up to play us, but I'm sure it'd still be fun.

    Ryan:

Those guys remind me of my cousins. They were totally obsessed with SF2 when it came out. They always imported their consoles like the Famicom and Genesis and took their games ultra serious. They first got me into SF2. I remember they used to try and do arcade mode with every single character on 8 stars and no continues. Even Dhalsim. If they lost a fight and needed to continue they'd quit and re-start. That's back when

    Balrog now = M Bison
    M Bison now = Vega
    Vega now = Balrog

before when they had to change the names over here.

As for the last 2 players, Rambo may be interested seen as though SF is going down as well but he didn't reply to my last email...I'll check it out.

    Nakura:

Ahhh hmmm ok Steev. If anyone is still reading, may hold off on getting/looking for the last 2 players. If steev can't make it we lose a set up and I'll drop out the tourney and just organise things...then we'll have 3 set ups and 5 in all the groups.

Have to see how things pan out. (I'd move Maz into Group A)

hell, i hate pad players as well,

the thing is if you cant play the game in the arcade with a stick, who really cares...???

i can play very well if not as equal on sf2 on pad as i do with stick as ive had x amount of time learning/playing on both

but when it comes to VF, thats another matter!!!
ive got this friend you see, pad player, (dont leave his yard since 97) and he can triple trhow escape all the time, never miss a tech roll, all that shit (pai player) no disrespect as he is old school and was on gamesmaster playing that jap dude at vf3, but how many time have we stick players missed a tech roll or throw cos of error, binding buttons is crap!!! real simple
crap like the water stage on VF!!!

and if u say crap like "ive only learn't on pad" so what?!
hell i had to Re-learn sf2 on pad cos i didnt hav a stick right away, and when i got a dreamcast i had to learn on pad again for vf3!

anyways, i could go on how pad is actually faster then stick and all that crap (think about it)

but people who know, know that pad play realy is a "faux pah"

While I agree that button binding is cheap shit, are you seriously trying to say things like crouch dashing are easier on a pad than on a stick?

If you're playing on a pad with only the three buttons like a stick user then I don't really see the difference at all.

I'm not sure I follow....do you mean CDing is easier on a dreamcast pad than on a stick or something?
