UK addicts: Weekend Sessions at my Gaff!

B_k wot time u get there, we were there till 9 ish i think, but not sure wot time the others arrived, played jun for the last time till he leaves for japan thiswednesday .

Hi Guys

The names Matt and I am new to this forum and don't know where exactly to post. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself. I use Kage as my main and I like to use a bit of Lei Fei on occasion. I am soon moving someone near London and hope to be able to meet and play some of you guys soon.

I heard of a few VF players in the UK as I have been to the Absolution tournament but havn't met any of them in person.

On subject of best players in London. Who are the best player/s for each character. So I know who to look out for?

I hope to play you guys soon.

 

Nice to see another U.K person interested in VF /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Basically the best place to go (on fridays and saturday nights) is Trocadero London, look out for he Vs city cabs one of which has vf, there on the 1st floor.
Although bewarned the sticks are no the best so input errors are common, plus it's off season at the mo, no torni's etc so I don't think it'll be as packed as it usually is.
(Added to the fact that I hate the place and don't go there now unless I'm in the area and can spare 10 mins) , but hey it is the only decent public place in london to play vf evo (ver A ¬_¬ ).

Well here's a quick brief roundup of the London people to look out for in the arcades:

Jacky: Colombo Jacky
Vannessa: VO, ksouther
Pai: G-ho
Aoi: Me ^_^
Wolf: Well since Jun is gone : BK
Lion: Yu-Kun (although he never goes by this name in

Lei: Akiryu Medion
Aoi: Da Prince

everyone uses other characters though so bewarned /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif


There are a whole host of other players but they don't frequen Troc that often so I only included the regular one's I can remember, and by regular I mean they might be in there on occassion, but everyone's getting sick of Troc now... but anyways hope to meet and play you soon /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif
(Also if no one's there they'll be the occasional tourist or foreign student to challenge , some of them quite good ^_^ )

+ it is a massive shame that jun has to leave as well big time he shall be missed....

his wolf title has be passed on...

+ i will come in the hunt for pai but i am lightyears behind still when the time comes i will practice with stalwart

there was a bit of sf2, but it wasnt that good a play, we didnt warm up, and remmember it was at like 5am!

if u want teaching with pai, you know i hav a friend whos good with pai to spar wit!

Olly, i think VO wanted to cap it, but the thing is does your VCR play PURE NTSC??? not no transcoded colour subcarrier PAL60???

if so its a posibillity that your video card wont like the colour input!

anyways i hav 2 VCRs that do pure ntsc that i can lend out, the one i brought, and a 15kg refrence panasonic

Well Random, i wanted to capture the stuff but I can`t play NTSC videos /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif so if you could get the captured I could get them for hve...also, Kingsouther, interesting signature, but after ONE win why you want to show me up like that? why dont you post all the upper level wins you have and not just me and Ryan? well since I AM the best Vanessa (END OF STORY) I will take it as a compliment but if the situation was reversed and i was to slyly put everytime i beat you in a post there wouldnt be enough webspace in VFDC to do that!!!

It's a shame that Jun had to go, a real shame, I really hope that I get to see him when I'm in Japan, he was a great guy with a great personality (not to mention his dark VF skills). I wish him all the best in the future!

Actually it's a great idea to have an individual character tournaments like they do in Japan, too bad we don't have enough players to make it worth while.
