Let me get this straight, when escaping sidethrow you always press toward the opponent and P+G?

Wait, if by "toward the opponent" you mean "left" or "right", then yes.

Using a word like "toward" confuses things though because it's synonymous with forward. And escaping side throws is not just "forward" and P+G.

I think the easiest way would to show it using a diagram. I really do like the diagram that was added. However, perhaps it should show the regular positions? I think it would make it easier if you referenced the position that you are ingame to with the one that you are using to explain. I made a quick mock-up in paint to show what I mean.

Thanks. I'll be sure to do something similar when I finish "Case 1: Opponent Changed Position".

No its not synonymous with forward when youre sideturned, one side of you, be it left or right, is toward the opponent..

What I meant to ask was if youre facing away from screen and opponent is to your left, you press left, aka toward the opponent? if hes on the right then right aka toward the opponent? etc? AM I correct on this cause im confused as hell.

edit: Ok if we discount the situation where opponent has evaded then I think im right. That picture is very helpful.

You know what, you're right. Toward does not equal Forward. Sorry about that.

But the answer is still yes, toward the opponent.
