Tournament in Charleston, SC. March 1st

Hey! I believe that they've found a location, a conference room at a hotel... but I'm not sure about the exact address yet... i'll post when i receive it... also I wanted to mention that interest has been expressed by the Boston crew... hopefully they'll be able to make the trip down!! it would be awesome to get the entire East Coast united for this one event.. Jerky mentioned that himself and Hyun are thinking about attending.. sooo it'll be all good... so all in all here's who has mentioned they're going to try to come:

SC: myself.... maybe a couple other guys might play
TN: Ninjinsan, flood
FL: approx. 5 players
MD: ??? number of players
MA: Jerky, Hyun
NC: hopefully 2 Charlotte players

it looks like we're going to have enough people for a Team tournament, so it looks like thats what we're going to do... it will be 3 person teams... and whoever doesnt have 3 players will be matched up with any other players that dont have complete teams... it looks like it should work out pretty well.... and it'll be a lot of fun!!!! if we have enough time we COULD also have a normal double elim. tourney w/ just 1vs1... or we could do that later on in the night... my idea as i mentioned before is to get all the VF players together and rent a hotel room and just play all night long... since a lot of people are making a long drive down then we'll be able to maximize our play time!!! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif anyways I'm extremely excited about this event and I really hope everyone is ready for a great time!!!

tomorrow I take my van in for oil change and tune up and tire rotation. So my van will be ready by the time we head out. So who's riding with me?

 

Florida is definite, But I dont know if we are going to stay over night or what. But more than likely if we stay, we will be down with getting a room, or maybe staying in a florida room, or whatever. But the important thing is I need the location of the hotel, so we dont get lost. Also if you could provide me with a contact number of someone in NC, so if I get lost, I can get some help lol. Stomp, I think its best if everyone meets at my house and we ride from there. What does everyone think about that??

 

Hey, I was talking with Jerky about coming up Fri night and getting a room. Does that sound alright with everyone? Then we could head back Sat after the tournament.

 

The hotel sounds good to me.

 

That's what I'm screaming... tourney followed by all night VF!!! This way more people can have more reason to come to this event.

Yeah, I defintely can't stay saturday all day long. Jedi, you think you can get over to someone in Lake county the night before so I don't have to drive all the way down to orlando and then drive up north again?

 

Ok so here's the plan:

Friday: all the VF players meet in Charleston, SC and get a hotel room and play all night long! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Saturday: as mentioned the VF4 Team tourney will be one of the "main events" and will be held in the afternoon, early evening... and then everyone rolls home!

SOOOOOO... does this sound good to everyone? Once we determine the exact hotel room they're using for the tourney, we could possibly get a room there... then it would be SO much easier for everyone! Dont worry I'll post location as SOON as I hear...

also... just wondering... is anyone planning on participating in any of the other tournaments? I'll probably be playing: VF4, T4, TTT, MvC2, and CvS2...

 

Stomp, I get off of work on friday at 5:00 pm. I dont know how I can get to lake county. Maybe chris??, but then we would be leaving very late, and getting to South Carolina Very late

 

Ok Jedi, I'll come and pick you up. Who else is riding with me? Are we picking up ghostdog in Jacksonville? Where is Jake going to meet us at?

 

I might as well just drive myself there. It's about the same distance from here to you, so I'll just meet you guys in SC. I'll also go in on a hotel room, how are you splitting that up?

 

I think the best thing to do is all meet at the tournament site friday night and get a hotle from there.

I should have my cell phone by then, so ill give everyone the number in case you need to contact the hydra van.

I had originally planned to drive down to Orlando to get in some practice and go with you people from there. But this way is so much more convenient. Pick me up in Jacksonville. My place is very easy to get to. Again, I'll PM the directions to you.
