Some of these matches are old, some of these matches are recent. Check the descrip if you're curious. I like to upload matches that show growth and matches where interesting things happened. Like the last one with LGT where I was trying to setup a mixup from /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif string. This string cannot be interrupted by P, 2P or even Goh's fastest mid once /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif is blocked. It was hard to stop with the first part of the string and then do an elbow or something bc Lucky kept either reading it or attacking after the first move so I was trying to condition him to block.
I also like to upload matches where nobody's sure who's going to win until the very end.

@Slide, you don't play random, you play slick. I saw how you set up that last hit of that last match I upped /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif Good stuff!

I play random in the sense that I pick any old move I want to, that matches the properties I want/need in a situation, and then hitcheck EVERYTHING(even defensively while the move is in motion). If I surprise myself with the specific move I chose, I'm sure it's surprising my opponent too.

example: If I need a half circular I'll just pick whichever one I feel like doing that covers a certain side. The selection narrows when I try to cover more than one door.

 

And that's a GREAT way of playing. You still do what you need to do to win, but you add variety and that makes watching your play very interesting and fun /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Thanks for that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

 

Wow, you can constantly keep track of foot position? That's even more impresive than hitchecking! I'm very jealous /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

Thanks man. Sometimes I end up picking a choice that's even more risky than necessary if it's guarded though. Thing is, if your opponent guards a move that surprised them, they're likely to hesitate retaliation.

Thanks, and yeah I think I have to with Sarah or I end up losing alot more than I usually already do. I learned footstance from wearing the angel and devil wings way back.

 

Haha, I'm happy there's even feedback at all /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Yeah, sometimes I forget to post those vids here or some are just for showing how I use to play so that when I start uploading more recent vids (they're coming), I can show some growth and not me doing and/or falling for the same stuff. Most days that I play VF I learn something new and try to apply it to my game but I got such a long way to go that it makes sense to me to put up vids, show what I'm doing now and from either feedback or self-realization improve my game.

People seen my videos like a year later(not that they're even any good), I even have a thread on here that's pages and pages back with about 1-2 actual replies that aren't mine, in it. I didn't think that people even enjoyed em until they weren't immediately clickable anymore, people randomly find them now.

nice vids tony. On the last match there your 1:40 2p reversal was really nice. Lol. I was rooting for you. They were all really close, but it looked like u played very good. i.e. real solid. Whenever i go to post up my matches, even in wins, i think i'm too critical of myself cause i always end up feeling like i looked to scrubby and not posting. keep them coming. Going to your youtube and checking out your you vs shinn akira matches is on my to do list.

The very first match I put up I got my ass whooped with my own character but I had a blast. Only problem with putting up matches that look fun is that it might look great one day and then once it's already up I'm like "why the hell did I put up this match?" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
Then there's matches where I had a blast but what's going on within the match just looks silly due to all of the conditioning that happened in the matches before the one you decided to save.

Haha, I can picture people watching and thinking "why did he go for that? that was just dumb!" but it was working all night long up until that replay XD

 

Hey Tony. In your older matches you can be seen standing a lot while holding /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif or doing nothing. That made you quite static before. The more recent fights, however, show that you've improved a lot and use the "free" time for spacing and baiting.

Actually, i think this is what happens during some of those matches we watch and think "holy shit, they are fucking omniscient with those throw escapes." But really it's match 25 and the player has seen that "random" throw set up 50 times in the past hour". Case in point, my first lei vs jeffry vid. And the only throw i got caught in, i put in an escape for that throw : (
