Tony you got much much better since you first started playing VF. I can tell that to improve at that rate it must of took a lot of time away from you. You was probably addicted just like most of us were. I hear ya, it takes a lot of discipline to truly retire though which is probably why you giving away your Xbox to avoid temptation. Hope you make it through just make sure you use the extra free time doing productive things.

Damnit VF5395, you were one of the people I hoped to see if I started playing again.
(Which is like once every 6 months) Matches against you were always mad fun. You were always one of the few people who never bitched about anything I did in game...shit or outside the game /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I'm in unintentional temporary retirement online ATM.

I wanna get back my XBL Gold ASAP, though.

Due to changing my environemnt, I will have to sell my XBOX360. Therefore, I would eventually stop playing VF again as I used to be in Seattle. Since I live in near NYC, I may visit Rodney's place to play some VF sometimes, but it would be less than the frequency of visit to Preppy's house in seattle. I even doubt if I visit NYC for ECG tournament.

Woah! Sorry to hear this man, but Yosuke you know that you are welcomed to my place anytime bro. Just give me proper notice and we will work it out. And don't feel like you have to visit just for VF ok? If you need a place to stay while you pick up books, hunt for girls, beat up little kids, etc, just let me know!

Im not totally retiring myself, but after recent events Ive decided to make some changes in my life. I'm on a diet, and I have quit smoking in the past 5 days. But catching up with my first Big Crush in life has me thinking about how I used to be before my parents tragic death 25 years ago. I just want to spend some time with me, and some new ladies of course.

    You on a diet?

Not to derail the thread or anything, but check this site out:

    http://www.thedailyplate.com/

I like to stay in shape and keep building lean muscle at the sametime, so I use sites like this to find out what exactly I ate based on the numbers of stuff like calories, fat, carbs, and protein throughout 4-6 meals a day.

Usually when I google nutrition facts for foods I don't know what's in it, I use that site. It can find nutrition facts for foods that don't have the label you can readily read, like if you go out to a restaurant, or get some takeout. imo diets never work out for people because you end up having cravings and completely ruin the diet. So you're going to want to eat what you want, but if you set a daily number goal, then you can bend and stretch what you eat during the day, and things offset with vitamins. I thought I'd share it man.

I think this event(WCG) would be the last event for me. since I am playing it with my roommate's TV, I even dont know if I can play it during summer. also, because I have already registered, I think I should just participate these tournaments. I just wonder if the winnder of the first WCG online tournament(this time dennis?) needs to participate the next online tournament.

    Hey Yosuke,
I don't need to play online tournament anymore since I got the qualify already. Actually I register other events too but I don't know how to cancel. Well, it's not a big deal coz I can just forfeit no question. I believe because of you will make the East tournament become tough than last year!!!

My purpose for WCG is just try to get a travel stipend in order to hang out with people from VFDC!!

I see. If you win one of them, you will be qualified to next tournament. I asked my roommate showing that webpage haha. Since there are 5 tournaments in east coast (which is more than West) it is not so tough I think. well then, the final in the US will be held by 8 players? or any ways players will be invited? like adam, he was the winner of last year, right? I thought he would be automatically qualidied to the next one.

    All good advice.

awesome site for keeping track of what you are doing. I don't have the dedication to keep it updated all the time (tho i do have the dedication to keep my diet on point 95% of the time) but use it for a couple of weeks and you'll come away with a much greater understanding of what food choices you are making and the impact they are having.

Don't know how knolwedgable you are about this stuff. Good luck. If you understand what you are doing, great. If not, feel free to shoot me a pm with questions anytime. I'm still figuring it out myself in alot of ways, but that being admitted, i'm probably more knowledgabe than 90% of the population at large.

Yes, after finishing online tournament, the next one will be us national tournament.

Last year I remembered there were some "random" VF5 players showed up during the event, and I didn't think they went through the online tournament coz they seemed didn't even know how to play.....

I strongly believe Adam will be invited as a seeded player but until now we haven't seen any information from the website.

I'm also wondering why there are only 3 tournaments for West?? I thought that should be even. I also notice everyone can sign up no matter west ot east.

I assume this is because of wins from adam and other players in east coast last year. if adam is seeded, there should be something. even if adam is not seeded, this unfair frequency of tournaments looks like a kind of seeding.

Guess it's time to post in the stupid thread. My xbox decided to red ring on me, so I'm temporarily retired. Goes to show how good my luck is. I get to head out to SoCal without being able to play VF for a month...
