The Hominick fight was utterly insane. Hominick drops Yves with a body shot, Yves somehow recovers eating a ton of strikes to land a right cross that sends Hominick to the canvas. A crazy ground exchange with Hominick sweeping Yves and pounding him out. Yves strikes were nuts. Punch, kick, to spinning elbow, back fist, spinning back kicks...That fight was teh shit

I think the "prince of persia" was confusing mma with a roshambo fight.

So funny, I had just told a co-worker on Friday that Fedor might lose and he laughed. I said that it was possible for the simple fact that a)Fedor is getting older and b)he's probably losing his edge due to a lack of fighting the best like he used to do in Pride.

This Strikeforce event was awesome and I enjoyed most of those fights. I had more fun than with some of the UFC's recent events.
The Cyborg fight was brutal and Cung Le is so much fun to watch.

 

lol i would like to see how long Cyborg (male) would last in the UFC!!

I think he should try going to Strikeforce and see if he can get back to being the vintage iceman then if he does well then perhaps go back to UFC.

Vintage Chuck 'the iceman' Liddell for those who don't know him. This was the fight that got me into MMA

 

Dude. He's 40.

 

But he still wants to fight.

 

A lot of people want to fight.

I'm sure if Chuck pulls in the money and can put on a good show, he'll continue to get chances. The thing is, I don't want to watch him anymore. I find it painful to watch people too old and broken to do what they once did go out and try and be who they were. I don't know how many people feel the same as me. I'm betting there are a few of us.

I want to watch Cain Velasquez. I want to watch Junior Dos Santos. I want to watch young people with a chance to be as big as Liddel go out and take it.

I don't want to watch Mark Coleman get thumped. I don't want to see Couture get his ass kicked. I don't want to watch Liddel get K.O.'d.

 

It just proves no one is perfect. It's not like Brock/Carwin would pull guard after getting hit and go for a triangle.

This by no means Fedor would automatically lose to any other top HW in the world. Just means he can be submitted by an extremely high level BJJ guy if he gets reckless.
Nothing more.

Fedor wasn't even the topic , and yes he would be beat on his feet if he fought some decent competition instead of running to underground organisations. Yes he was good in Pride but look what happened to any Pride fighter that went to UFC??? Yes they lost by this things they are known best for...Cro Cop....got KO'd with his own Head kick move by Gonzaga and Shogun...Got beat in his fight debut at UFC. Wanderei Silva... well you do the math!! Fedors management would of not went to Strikeforce if they knew the likes of Werdum was going to be a threat but now they are in the shit and Fedor is being exposed!! Don't go talking him up likes hes some god! Thanks.

 

So you can like Liddel and talk about him but Fatal Rose can't like and talk about Fedor without being accused of nuttuhhing (whatever that is). Actually what is that, anyway? Is it like get fuhhed in the ahh while performing a bluhhjahhing?

 

This is why! I don't mind talk about Fedor hes a great fighter , but he is quite beatable! There is two types of Fedor fan , the Fans of Fedor then just plain Fedor nutthuggers! At first i didn't mind Fedor i thought he was great but all you hear is Fedor , Fedor ,Fedor and eventually you get sick of hearing how he cant ever be beat like hes some invincible MMA GOD. It gets to the point you just want to see the guy get pounded 6 feet under because you get sick of hearing his name where ever you go!!! A FEdor nutthugger would be someone who talks about Fedor as if he's unbeatable in MMA and one who will always look to make an excuse to defend him.

btw, don't respond with anderson silva wasnt a pride fighter. He fought in 5 pride shows which is the same amount of shows he did for meca and more than cage rage. He was 3-2 in pride and now 11-0 in the ufc.
