You can't train stupidity/stubbornness. I think this is the 2nd fight he has dropped, so maybe that will motivate him to change his gameplan.

Rogers wasn't coming of a sore looser he was just disappointed from loosing and saying what he should of done, at no time did he say that Fedor sucked or bad mouthed him!!

Not once after getting his ass handed to him did he give fedor any props. He basically said he was mad, didnt trust his instincts and boasted like in a rematch, it would be a different story. That sounds like a sore loser to me. If, in the next few days he changes his tune then maybe i'll think differently but for now, he's in the BJ penn category. Great winner and Sore Loser.
Im sure next time they fight, Fedor is gonna finish him in R1 instead.

I can relate to the frustration. Remember, he was still getting his wits about when he was interviewed...after being knocked nearly out of life. He should of said good job. He forgot/didn't - so what. In no way was he like Penn, making excuses and crying.

I was surprised by how easily Fedor manhandled Rogies when it came to take downs, it was as if Rogies was the same weight.

Fedor would crush Cock-Chestner so badly.

Rogers was lucky his leg got in the way when he hit the canvas or it would have been like a Hendo vs Bisping follow-up [IMG]
Good fight, Fedor always looking to finish,
the kimura attempt gave Rogers his best chance at some heavy GnP but even that didn't faze Fedor, straight into armbar/sweep.
Hopefully they set up the Overeem fight next.

questions be can Fedor defend Brocks take down attempts and/or handle him (GnP) on the ground. Hope we get to see it before there no longer in the prime.

Man, Rogers got stol on! I can't stop watching the replays, punch was so fast and the smack it made was hella loud. Fedor's nose was messed up too, and I was kind of worried for him when Brett started to ground n pound him (that really opened his nose up). But Fedor being Fedor was straight and went for that armbar and neutralized that lil situation. Fedor can take some shots.

I was kinda pissed that the ring interviewer didn't let Fedor get his last words in when he clearly knew Fedor wanted to say one more thing. Snatchin the mic away wtf man...Yea yea I know he did that cause he wanted to talk to Bret before he left the ring.

Mayhem had one of the best ring entrances i've ever seen lol. Dude is a fool man (I mean that in a good way). Fighting style - Slap Boxing. lmao.

And that Gegard Mousasi dude, dam! That dude is like water in the ring lol. Not like Anderson Silva, but dude is pretty bad though. He reminded me of Tong Po from kickboxer when he would be walking up to Sokoudjou, just so calm, not worried bout anything dude could throw at him. Good fighter right there, guess that's why he's the LH champ eh?

FR: I completely disagree with you on Lesner. Brock is a different beast. With his wrestling pedagree alone he poses a HUGE threat to Fedor. His balance, timing, application of strength are all leagues above rodgers. I think Fedor would win via submission, but he would get hurt in the process.

Fedor doesn't pose more power than Rogers does , its just Fedors loose fighting style with his looping punches that got the better of Rogers. Yes hes better all round than Rogers but think what Rogers could be with the experience from loosing that fight and how close he came to beating Fedor at various points in the fight. What a close fight, and you doubted Rogers!! Rogers is a strong second best HW in the world in my books, definitely a beast and force to reckon with !!

How close did he come to beating Fedor? You mean the GnP which lasted a few seconds in which Fedor went straight for an arm?
Other than that he was in nowhere close to being finished (watch the fight again and don't' let the blood cloud your judgment of who controlled the pace and the fight).
By that logic Mark Hunt and Fujita would have been no2 heavyweights at one point?
Rogers is good but I don't think he's no2, Lesnar, Overeem, would beat him I would say and against other top HW's it would be close.

I don't know, man. I've been punched in the face by both of 'em. I couldn't really tell the difference after I regained consciousness.

Fujita was winning against fedor until Fedor tapped him him.

Randleman was winning against fedor until fedor tapped him.

Arlovski was winning against fedor until fedor KOd him.

Coleman was winning against fedor until fedor tapped him.

(Insert fighter name here) was winning against fedor until fedor (tapped/KO'd/Dec'd) him.

If that was any other HW in the world against Rogers they would have been finished after that Rogers gnp! Power was not the deciding factor , watch the fight and see how quickly Fedor's faced changes after 1 Rogers jab!

actually, one of the amazing things about Fedor is how his face DIDN'T change. yep, he got his nose broken but that same, impassive face remained the same. one of Fedor's key strength is how he can remain absolutely calm under all kinds of duress.

during the GnP, fedor moved for an armbar but really it wasn't lightning quick or from an unorthodox position and Rogers nearly got pegged. he'll need to watch that for sure against ANY HW with decent ground skills.

Feaucha, I hear ya on that Mousasi guy, he's a VERY tough dude. I get a vibe from his style of fighting that he's an asshole in real life, lol.

Its very debatable that arlovski was winning, sure... he was pushing the action, but Fedor was slipping most of the punches and waiting for an opening. You make Fedor sound like some kind of comeback specialist like nogueira. Fujita also was not winning at any point up until he landed that one lucky punch and rung fedors bell.
