You're right Fatal R. Silva was being careful and not underestimating Cote like a lot of people wanted him to. Sometimes I hate the American crowds when they start booing just bc they're not seeing punches and kicks flying the whole match. Lol, it's like they think they're going to go watch Kung-Fu flick or something.
Plus, after Silva caught him with that big knee that cut him and some other punches, he must have seen that Cote has a very tough chin.

 

The thing is, for me, he fought Henderson in a much more aggressive manner and everybody knows Henderson is tough as fucking nails. I think he was putting on a show.

 

Well, I went and popped the mma cherry sat night at Valhallafights.com in Sterling, V.A. Had a great time, lost via a split decision that some say was controversial...I won't go into reasons, but as soon as I get the video posted you all can make yor own decisions. Thanks for posting the pics and congrats on your first fight! Win or lose, big props out to you cuz it takes alot of nuts to get in any full contact MMA competition.

You looked to be the clear aggressor with quick take downs. I don't understand how the judges got that mixed up. Maybe it was a lack of striking when you had position? You did the right thing against a larger opponent - don't know what else you could have done.

Respect, its one thing for people to talk about other fighters from their armchairs and its another to actually have the courage and take the hits yourself. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah....that triangle to armbar attempt was lazy...it's funny, when I had him in guard the first time, I saw I could break him down by over hooking with my foot...I should of just done that, got his back and choked him.
