Damn, that last Ultimate Fighter finale was kinda sad. I was rooting for that Jesse kid, I thought he had it in the bag. The kid's a freak and from what I saw, he had so much potential but he just had to go and fuck it all up... dumb. Jesse's kicks gotta hurt with the way that limo window busted out, dizamn!

I hope he stays on the right path, keeps training and stays out of trouble. Hopefully we get to see him fighting for some other company.

    So, Forrest, Rampage, predictions?
I say it goes all the way, Rampage by split decision.

    happy bday tony:D

and as far as JT.. i think Dana White told Jesse to call him in a few months when he was kicking him off.. so he might not have completely blown his opportunity with UFC...

Forrest vs Rampage is gonna be a good fight.. theyre both exciting fighters.. Rampage has the KO power, but Forrest has the chin...

i think i'll go with Rampage split decision like tony said.. prob will be a good fightt either way

It's really hard to take down Quinton though. Forrest is a durable guy with an ok chin. He has the reach advantage and the submission advantage I think. I still see Quinton wining a dominating decision or a KO late in round one.

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
Ever since I watched Rampage's debut versus Eastman I knew that this guy had a LOT of heart. He took so many kicks to the head and still wouldn't go down. Eastman worked him but couldn't knock him down for the count and the same thing happened when Rampage fought Wanderlei. The ref had to stop the fight because Rampage just would not go down. He was out on his feet, smiling, lol.

I really want to see Rampage/Machida instead of Forrest/Machida. I think it will be a more exciting fight stylewise. And I'm really looking forward to Wanderlei/Rampage #3 at some point. Yall know it's going to happen /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
I want to see if Rampage finally learned how to deal with the Chutebox Academy's infamous Muay Thai clinch.

This is the actual vid that they're going to play before the main event.
Those are some big words from Rampage... his whole purse if the fight goes to the judges? I don't care how confident you are, that's just not a smart bet. I'm confident he'll win but I don't know about him bulldozing through Forrest. Forrest is not the kind of guy to tap or go down easily so it might get real ugly, bloody ugly.
Rampage's coach claims that if Rampage loses that he'll retire so Rampage and his coach have a lot riding on this. Rampage better not slip.

    Edit:
My bad, I thought Quinton had debuted against Eastman back in 2000 in KOTC, that's the first I'd ever heard of him but I just learned that he had two fights prior to that. Quinton debuted against Mike Pyle in ISCF.

    Here's Rampage's Chuck Liddell impression

Something I posted in another forum, reason as to why I think Rampage takes this decisively.
    -----------------------------------------------------------
I am not totally sold on Forrest to be honest.
Almost every top fighter he has faced he lost to.
    Knocked out by Horn.
Lost a split to a injured Tito
Won a wild brawl against Bonnar.
    Got Koed by Jardine.
    Defeated a injured Shogun.

Thats basically the gist of his 205 career, I consider him a good fighter that has a lot of heart. But to me he is still somewhat of a mystery. We will really see where he is at this weekend.
Maybe I am missing something? Where exactly does his record or skill set have a definitive edge over Rampage?

Striking? Rampage hits harder, better boxer, better defense, stronger knees, knock out power. Only thing I see Forrest having on him is his reach. Forrest hit Tito with a lot of shots to the face area, did not seem to do significant damage. We all know Tito does not have a great chin. I think Forrest is a great finisher, but I do not think he has real knock out power.

Strength? I know Forrest, is huge for a LHW but how strong physically is he? Him and Bonnar looked pretty even. Give or take a slight advantage. Tito with a bad knee and back looked stronger, Jardines strength seemed to overwhelm him in close and he crumbled, He seemed to look a little stronger against a no cardio/very bad knee Shogun, and him and Jeremy horn looked pretty even. Even though Forrest is bigger, I still think Rampage is physically more powerful.

Chin? He can take a lot of punishment, but he was knocked out by Horn and Jardine. I know he took a lot of shots from Bonnar but I don't think Bonnar hits very hard either. If he falls back to instinct and engages in a redneck brawl with Rampage that would be suicide

Grappling/wrestling? Rampage a stronger/better wrestler for sure with good take downs. Forrest is a good grappler with good submission skills but other then that Rampage has him beat in all aspects on the ground. So if it hits the ground I think his only chance is to submit Rampage. Not a very easy thing to do.

Heart? Tough one to call, they both are strong willed determined fighters.

Cardio? You would think to give the edge to Forrest right? I am not so sure. Forrest has gassed before, but I think his heart/determination is what kept him going. Rampage has also gassed a few times, but has not lately. I honestly think Cardio is pretty much even.

So what am I missing? Am I discrediting Forrest in some way? Looking at each fighters history and how they match up on paper, I don't see how Forrest really can win this.

Who knows though, maybe Forrest will steamroll right through him this weekend? Never know...

What you're missing is that Forrest is probably the most improving fighting in the UFC roster. He might not be ready for Rampage now but give him a few years. Assumptions therefor based on for instance the bonnar fight are kinda worthless cause he was a different guy; hell he wasn't even half his size then. He didn't have a third of his striking back then. Couture has said that he literary has to kick Forrest out of the gym from training - he just doesn't stop. Other then that people think that cardio and submissions go into his area also. Also, he's been training with Silva for this fight which is like Rampage kryptonite.

That being said, nope he isn't ready and will probably get knocked out.
