Yes it's deep. I just wish others could see it too. Reading these essays you'll find philosophical parallels with The Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars.

I started this as a civilised topic, wanting people to contribute and make this thread a rich Matrix source for Virtua Fighters. How was I supposed to know it was gonna rot into this, cataysed by the pure cynisims of Nakura, Phoenix and the likes of yourself.

Ok, lets just look at this from a sociological view. Have you ever "considered" that it is not that the matrix is being hated at all times, but you as a person has caused some of these rifts in opinions. Like i said before, not everyone has the same enthuiasm of the matrix as you. But from your radical fanboyist (a word im sure you wont take offense to) point of view, you have caused even the casual matrix fan into hating the series. It would have been fine if your opinions were kept within the thread "which you created for" to stay put. People who didnt have as much enthuiasm for the series stayed out of the thread. Instead you go out and spam other threads of matrix this matrix that. Even further you create a "new" thread concerning the same subject. You might of felt ignored on the subject, but thats how people are within this board. Deal with it. But once you start imposing your views, it starts to irritate people. So before you start saying its me against the world, and making yourself a martyr to the cause. Would you consider that its you against yourself?

 

Dude, I never "caused...these rifts in opinions". They already existed. Interestingly, you accuse me of "imposing [my] views", when you yourself counteract them. Are you not "imposing" your own views in that case? Of course not! It's a discussion! Okay, I made one error in opening a new thread, but even that was because you kept trying to drown this thread out in the first place. Your first comments were that of criticising the very purpose of this thread, and you've been at it ever since...'witty' remarks and constant disrespect when I'm trying to make healthy discussion.

As for this thread "going to shit" in your abscence, don't flatter yourself. Believe me, your abscence was far from missed.

There's a difference between imposing your views and simply stating them. A simple look at your posts on the user lookup screen pretty much shows that you whine on about the matrix too much. Have you even made a post that WASN'T about the matrix? It wouldn't be so bad if you were having a discussion (like you always claim to be doing) but a big part of your matrix thread(s) are just you having a "discussion" with yourself. There's a word for this, it's called rambling. Surely after 5 posts of "insight", and nobody has replied, you can take the hint and SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Now, even this wouldn't be so bad (I'm being kind here) if you kept your tripe to your own threads. But you don't. You pollute other threads with yet more matrix bullshit that nobody wants to hear. It's all well and good telling people not to go into the thread if they don't like it but what good is that if nobody knows where you're going to strike next?

Just because you're posting in the general section doesn't really make it OK to spam unlimited threads about one shitty subject. If you're such a matrix fanboy then go post on a matrix fansite where people will actually read what you're babbling on about. Why bother posting what you know people aren't going to read? There's no point is there?

Dude, you just told me to "SHUT THE FUCK UP". I'm just fascinated that this is an entirely acceptable way to talk to fellow Virtua Fighters on this board without provocation. Yeah, I totally dig The Matrix (ya think?) and I like to talk about it with different people, like Virtua Fighters to see what they think, not just the people on the fansites. What's wrong with that? Okay, I'll stop posting (there were still other ways you could have done that...PMs again...) and the mods can even lock this thread if they want to. It doesn't bother me anymore...it's just that in the advent of revolutions I got really excited and then a crushing blow of disappointment when the poeple who allegedly liked the Matrix disliked the sequels. I mean, c'mon, we've had 4 years to digest the original, and now the exponentially more complicated sequels come out a mere 6 months apart from each other, and people are off dissing them. It's like Oracle's speech = don't get it = must be shit. I hate that kind of mentality whereby people dismiss something as being crap just cause they don't get it. At least they should say, "nah, i don't get it" in stead of "it's shit". They are two different things. Surely you can understand my annoyance in this matter. That's why I thought that after the third installment (note, no matrix posts prioir to the final installment) I realy tried to reach people with this and get their input and communicate back to them. How was I supposed to know my efforts would be so little appreciated. I'm sorry.
