Nah man I'm sorting it out tommorow, just came back from work ,bare tired.
I'm gonna be there with pat around 1ish, I'm bringing the manual with me, no excuses this time!

 

Starting time

Bare licks 2: The agent Smith edition will start at 18:00 at Funland. Please be on time. We have 3 hours freeplay and i don't want to make it too late.
Entry is 3 pounds. Winner gets around 10-20 pounds.

Note: Tsuujin will not be there, so your chances of winning have improved! See you 2moro.

BARE RESULTS!

Wot 'appened?

9 players showed up: King Souther, Vosor, Geeway, Jeffahn, Marc, Akairyu, Optimus O., Masamune, Stalwart S. and me Stonedog.(the dark one) So whe had a 10 player battle. So i payed for 2 hours of freeplay instead of 3. They charged 20£ instead of 30 wich was a lucky break. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

And then we started... everyone got to play the 9 others. I think it went just fine. I noticed nobody picked Jacky, Kage, Lau or Akira. (I picked Goh once,Jacky was picked once in the finals)

Aoi, Vanessa and Sarah were probably most picked and "infected" to others. Optimus and Vosor, infected the most players with Aoi and Vanessa.

After the ranking matches this was the score:
1 Optimus Omega 8 wins / 26 rounds
2 Vosor 8 wins / 24 rounds
3 Geeway 7 wins / 25 rounds
4 Jeffahn 5 wins / 20 rounds
5 Stalwart Samurai 5 wins / 19 rounds
6 King Souther 5 wins / 17 rounds
7 Akairyu 2 wins / 14 rounds
8 Masamune Blade 2 wins / 10 rounds
9 Marc 1 win / 8 rounds
10 Stonedog 1 win / 9 rounds

After that we had semi-finals. Best of 3 matches, when you won a match you had to switch character. For the tie-breaker/final match both could pick any char. Optimus beat Jeffahn, Geeway beat Vosor. Final was best of 5, Geeway smashed all fantasies and beat Optimus 3-1. He got 10 bucks, Optimus 5 bucks and Vosor got his 3 bucks entry fee back.

I was happy cause altough not much folks showed up, it went smooth and i only lost 11 bucks instead of 36. Plus i got to play.

Next time....

The next tournament, i will give a prize to the player with the lowest round-loss rate.

Today at Bare Licks 2, Optimus won the league, because he had more rounds than Vosor. Optimus won the most rounds, 26. (Vosor got 24, Geeway 25) Each player could win a maximum of 27 rounds in the league; 9 matches x 3 rounds per match = 27

However, Optimus won most matches just by 1 round difference (3-2) Today you could win 27 rounds in the league. At the same time you could lose 18 rounds(9x2) but still win the league. (Optimus lost 17 rounds, Vosor 6, Geeway 8)

From now on i will count the balance of rounds won-lost. Just to give an extra prize to the player with the lowest round-loss rate, the players that don't just win matches, but really smash their opponents. They'll get the Destroyer prize.

You might not win the league or the tournament, but if you smash up people your name shall be praised! /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Man got infected with Vanessa virus and lost a deciding match (Runs off to start learning Vanessa /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif)

Apart from that I enjoyed the event esp TAPGRAB TACTICS /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif if you know what I mean.

Me thinks we should have a Darby Owners Club tournment BLAYTANT /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This was a good chance to see some of the other players progress, and the weird rules made it funny!

(Sorry to all the opponents I used crap tactics on though, I wasn't myself that day, just tired and jaded, sucked at F-zero and Outrun as well! next time I'll entertain you guys more /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif).
Respect to G-Ho though, even though he wern't at his best like me he managed to be solid with his B game, and some fun matches with VO.
Shame Yamato/steve came late, would have been interesting.

Edit: Hope there's a few more Torni's before Absolution, need to get sharp again!

Revenge!

It woz fun! I enjoyed winning with Vanessa even tho I've never played with her. I should have taken Wolf from the start. What was I thinking taking Aoi against Gee-ho? Almost beat VO with Gee-ho's parasite Pai though.

good fun on sunday shame more players didn't turn up. Ive never won anything in my life so this was a first expierience for me, probably my last. Crazy rules in the final why the heck did i choose sarah. Props to ollies Aoi which is one beayytch. Hope next time more people come cus it was a fun tourney

altho the rules probably weakened the tournie a bit, i think the number of people made a great lil comp... no one had to wait long for a game, and everyone was able to have some good matches....

i reckon that without the random characters rule, a lil tournie with 12 or so people would be great.

props to dark one for running it, no matter how it turned out its still great to see people willing to put in the effort to get something together for people.

it was a cool tournament, abit confusing but since i only got virused once in the main round robin i cant cry.

Only weird thing was to see so many people getting virused with vanessa, and doing ok with her then coming up afterwards and saying, "hey she`s ok actually" anyway, thanx to the Dark One....will be more solid when we get back to non-virused battles....

tourney was jokes,a joke to be exact, i like jokes though so its all good especially that triple exellent i got right after the tourney ended \o/ .

since i can only use sarah, getting beat once means tourney lost! has a some good matches though and missed bare combos due to stick reasons!!!! (i dont usually use this as an excuse but OMG!!!!!)

good fun after the tourney too, horse game etc.

dark one/ruben/stonedog : just stick with Damsko, thats what you are best known as...

Why is nobody coming down to Troc these days? If you had come on Friday night you would have had the distiction of being battered buy some guy (presumably Jap) who was probably just on holiday in london, and then yesterday Mo was there for a couple of hours after lunch. Fools you all!

hell yeah! i got soooo battered by this jap playa and his devil jacky! still, i beat some really brilliant guy called steve who until recently held an impressive 15-nil game against me....
Youse guys should go to troc on friday evening on a regular basis!!! Me and Jeffahn do, and a couple of others, but it aint enuff! Whats wrong with youse guys!
