Team <<Shao long pao>> {NYC VF} thread.

Smurfy, I agree with Stomp here. If you try out another character, you can find out what makes other characters effective. Also, You can really appreciate what akira has and complain what he doesn't have. Maybe try someone w/o reversals, that'll teach you other system of defence beside blocking and reversing.

 

Actually Hammerhead. I forgot to suggest something to smurfy. I was thinking in lines of someone like Kage. He is very linear as well as Akira is even though Kage has a few more circular stuff. And he also has a reversal system that will cater to smurfy's machi/defensive style. Both characters seem very similar in the way that they can be both offensive and defensive and fits smurfy's style very well. Of course my suggestion for a character based on my biased opinion would be for smurfy to learn Shun! lol. To play him as freely as I do would be so much fun. Especially if smurfy's comes out looking like mine. And Ghostdog gets to play both of us back to back! Right ghostdog? lol

Actually, I think I play too "rigid". So I'm trying to adopt a different playing style from my usual stubbornly flowchart-following, non-creative, frame-conscious, E-DTEG/R-DTE-whoring ways. I'm trying to play using instincts and "feel" more than I used to. I'll probably be playing Aoi and Akira as "freely" as you play Shun. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif Now that's a scary thought. /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

 

Hell no Ghostdog. That would be a great thing for you. Screw the flowchart stubborn ways ghostdog. Remember, it must not be random if it keeps hitting you over and over again. lol. Then you can stop talking under your lip about how I just throw out random moves! huhuhu!

I learned then to ask if a challenge was desired. (Port Authority Leisure Time Arcade circa 6/98). Actually, since Friday, our famous and infamous VF master, HIRO has been staying in NYC this weekend. Unfortunately, because of his busy schedule, he has to leave today (Sunday).

Yet, if you go to China Town's video arcade a bit earlier today, you may play with him along with Adam and Peter though I can not assure that...

Hey SMURFY! Its's me, Tetsuo. Even though it was only a couple of games, I WAS excited to play with you yesterday.

As for your request, all I can say is that I prefer evening times to go to CTF because that time is supposedly the most cloudid (=a lot competition). Other than that, I would go there whenever I want and whenever I am able to.

Well, any other things?... oh, I MAY let you know our Arch-demon... oops, I mean our "Arch-Angel" HIRO's plan for next visitaition to CTF... if he allows me to do so. As a good friend of him, I'd rather respect his individual privacy than a Jamboree at a video arcade.
