NYC This Weekend

Hey all - Alex and I are heading up to visit a friend in NYC and we'll be stopping by CTF sometime in the evening to partake in some VF goodness. See ya all there

I don't have insecurities about losing - i actually look forward to people raping me so i can advance my game. Hiro beats me a lot and I learn from him immensley. If its not cut-throat, all out serious, playing to win, then i'm not interested. I think my team mates will be better players cause we have this "cut-throat" atmosphere. You may have fun trying out "different situations and what-not" and keeping things light, but that is exactly why you don't have "mental toughness". /versus/images/icons/grin.gif Playing the game for me is 30% technical and 70% mental. Strange/harsh philospohy? Sure, but it works for me. My team members (Rodney and Andy) actually are beginning to see the light, so to speak, with regards to this philosophy, and Nelson has followed it for years (his whole fighting game career /versus/images/icons/smile.gif ). That is why Nelson is as strong as he is.

Anyone that visits us can see how tight-knit we are as a team and also good friends. We all have known and played one another for about 8 years! Just cause we don't have circle-jerking sessions like you guys where we study frame stats together, "try different situations", or give each other words of encouragement (and handjobs), doesn't mean we aint tight as a team. The best things we can learn from one another come from taking each other very seriously and always trying to play our best and, to win. We know that it builds "mental toughness". When people are interested in trying new things (flow charts, strats, etc), trying to implement it in such a competitive atmosphere is best. So many people know strategies/frame stats, but can't implement for shit in serious real game scenarios, cause they are too used to a "light" atmosphere. Overall, you just develop faster as a player in our "screwy VF environment". Your great team environment has produced how many "dangerous" players? Two? Pffft..... /versus/images/icons/smirk.gif

PS- This is IMO completely, if you don't think I was fair sum it up for me then, but, this is how I feel about Florida. They (at least dirty Blondie) have such a vf insecurity complex that they cling onto *incomplete* slo-mo homo tourney results and foolishly claim to be the best (kekekekeke). NONE of them are good enough to DOMINATE anyone on this board... The whole NYC team is living proof.

PPS- NYC tries to play the game AND dominate. If we win, that's teh hotNASS, it's ALL about winning. It is simply all about playing AND winning. If you play, have a desire to be not only the best you can be, but also to rape MAD ASS, and have a good attitude, then you are respected by my team and I. Ask anyone that came to NY. There was nothing said, no wierd uncomfortable feelings if you lost, YOU LEARNED A SHITLOAD and went back a bit more inspired and not to mention, a bit more lethal. You also got great hospitality and company. PEACE
