Hi Everyone, my name is Tiernan...

Ive recently been playing at web2zone with Shag and others...I think ive really improved since I started playing Lei Fei which is a great character for me...Mostly I play on a ps2 I bring with me to web2zone...I would like to meet at web2zone tomorrow if anyone is interested...Shag may be there too...

I'll be there around 6-7...It would be great to play against you...Do you happen to have an arcade stick you can bring? Because I wanted to play on my ps2...I'm much better on the gamepad myself...

Damn, see what happen when you ADDICT to VF. Besides every other fighting games become terrible, it's INSANE for not playing VF. Just 6 months bro, it's not like you are going die or something. Yeah I got a few fixes from you Trevor...and many good beatings too...

I'm trying to learn Jacky now...I'm just selecting a few moves at a time to practice over and over again...I'm not gonna go through everything at once...I would like to one day be a challenge to Denkai in Jacky versus Jacky battles...

I need practice...anyone up for meeting this friday? Let me know...

Hey guys, doubt I'll be able to stop by again. It was nice seeing Kazu and Cruz though. If I can I'll give you all a heads up if possible.

Heading to North Carolina with friends next week and then back to Korea on the 30th. Otherwise I'll catch you guys... February maybe?

Hey everybody, I'm new to this forum and pretty new to Virtua Fighter as well. My questions are these:

where are some good arcades in nyc that have vf? Lazer Park closed and Chinatown Fair just has the cabinet...

do most VF cabinets have ports to plug in ps2 controllers?

I have the tekken 5 arcade stick. Do you think this is a good one to use with VF?

Lastly, the characters I use are Lau, Kage and Shun, in that order. Do you guys think that's a good group to start with?

NYC VF'ers meet at Web 2 Zone located at 54 Cooper Square in the heart of East Village Web 2 Zone

We have a Japanese sit down vs. city dual cabinet running VF4:Final Tuned. You cannot plug in outside controllers on this machine. Most players also like to rent a TV setup to play VF4:Evo on PS2.

A T5 stick is just fine as I use one myself. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Your charcter selection is only as good as how well you play them. With enough work you can face any opponent with any character you choose. If your starting off I suggest you play with ALL characters at least a couple of times to feel their differences and then pick ONE character and master him/her. Its very difficult in this game to master just one character and most people just play one at first.

We tend to meetup on Fridays and sometimes on Thursdays. If those days are not good for you post up a day and we'll talk about getting some games in with the rest of the crew.

I'll be at w2zone tomorrow...Ive been battling the computer trying to get my timing down...but the computer is either too smart or too predictable...still it punishes you for bad timing...which is good...

Oh, and Shag, for the T5 controller what buttons do you map to PKG?

It costs 50 cents to play on the final tuned machine...as far as the console setup I know it costs 6 dollars for an hour and 9 dollars for two hours...for two players it's double that amount...

Okay, enough bs. There should be no mercy in VF, DARKNESS RULES! Practice, versus, lose then go back to practice, this is the life of VF. Take your time...

Tekken stick needs to be modded or it might be a lil bit insensitive to downforward, downback direction sometimes. Besides that it's a decent stick to play VF.
