Game Time Nation will be open for now til Dec. 5th. After that its hard to say what will happen. So Thursday's (and every day) are still on until then. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Normally I would meetup with you Blues but I'm going to go home after work. I think I'm going to show up on Friday.

VF movie shoot, Nov. 29., GTN closure on the 30th?...

Hey guys, GTN days are coming to a close maybe earlier than we thought. I've heard news that GTN will probably have to shut down at the end of the month.

That is Nov. 30th, this coming Wednesday. So instead of waiting to see if they will be open this Thursday, lets go to play on Tuesday Nov. 29th.

My friend Phillip from Meetup.com - NYC Gamer group is doing a documentary on the hardcore gaming scene. Some of you have met or seen him before at GTN, as he has had StreetFighter meetups there when we were present. He really loves and respects our scene, he even promotes our Thursday casual gatherings on the site. Anyway, he would really like to shoot us just playing the game and being ourselves. He'd want to do it before GTN closes down.

I say we go by GTN on Tuesday to play for possibly our last time at GTN where it is today. Phillip will be there with A / V equipment to tape the action. I'm hoping everyone can stop by and have a blast.

man, this thread rocks! It's a historical document of american vf evolution! i obviously gained a lot of "mental toughness" by reading the first 20 pages. great stuff, gotta read them again. anyway i will go to gtn everyday around 5pm this week other than wednesday. I havent play enough VF since virgin B came. Better play it now b4 it's gone...

Hey Rodney, this is Arturo. Blood Red and Triforce has been looking to get in contact with you for the longest, since we got word that the NYC VF community is in danger and all. Apparently, TFGM wants to set up a meeting with you guys (or get in touch with Rodney in particular) to see if he can help out the NYC VF community in some form since your location is about to close.

Goodbye Game Time Nation, Hello Anarchcade

On Tuesday 11/29/05, some of us showed up to play for the final day at Game Time Nation. We didn't play for long but we had some good matches. After the games, Rheinaoi, Subbers, Denkai and I were interviewed for a documentary on the US hardcore game scene along with other players at GTN. We were sorta put on the spot as they asked us questions like "What makes Virtua Fighter so great?". We answered the best we could. /versus/images/graemlins/indifferent.gif

On Friday, I walked into Anarchcade to be surprised to see the vs. cabinets setup, thanks to Andy. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif Lots of VF going on with FT on the cabs and 2 Evo setups on PS2. We received plenty of stares as regulars of the new place were amazed by the arcade setup and joined in on the action. One of them at "Ana" had plenty of games with us and now maybe a new addition to the NYC VF crew. Great times indeed. /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Not bad! i have to come down and see,maybe on tomorrow,because i have to talk to this boss who keeps making me work like a dog for 6 days and doesn't liten on what i have to say to get my days off when i need them.Even had sunday off but today they change it and want me to work! but i will change that and join the fun.I really need to see gang again.
