Silly lil' monkey...The price for tix doesn't really concern me. My schedule (mondays & tuesdays off) and difficulty in being able to get a few days off is the real problem /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

Tickets to NYC are not what they used to be. I can play IMF for hours and work on my jacky shit. Playing yooos guys, I have to give you the opportunity to understand Jacky in his entirety. If you guys are having problems getting time off and managing a small trip down here, I'm finding it hard to believe your getting more play time and making it worthwhile for me to come up there, you don't have "That" many players up there. Us unwilling to travel has nothing to do with not getting enuff practice/play. On the contrary, my soldiers have been playing much more than ever. Andy and Rodney will do quite well against you, but IMO, Nelson (ghettoSHUN) will tear you guys a new asshole, quite frankly. I haven't played as much as my cohorts, but my mental training is still going strong, which translates again into Floridian Ass Rapings (FAR).

The quality of players in NYC now is tight like a mutha @#%!#! when compared to Florida. Just curious. You really have been pissing me off lately with your attitude. This whole US vs THEM attitude doesn't fly dude. I can respect gathering play to some extent( cause its all you have). But when you discredit ME and my Partner for winning the actual NYG tourney, that's where I get a little mad. "REAL players win in gathering play"(quote), as if I'm not a "REAL" player. Has it ever occured to you that gathering play is taken much more lightly than actual tournament play. Hence this is why you do better at it and get beaten in tournaments. I've been playing fighting games for awhile and you my friend still sound somewhat like a whiney scrub. I can only offer you my hand in becoming something other than a VF player that can't handle losing.

But seriously, to my best knowledge, Ad never said he was the best. Ppl gave him that tag. It's the only way for anyone to earn it. If anything, in all my yrs of knowing Ad, he never once bragged abt himself (quite the contary..maybe towards me he is humble LOL...j/k)

Plus..just something I like to point it out to u. On a whole, gamers generally consider arcade results as the better indicator of a person's skills.

Summah: Our win percentages were equal or better than adams. Head to Head adam has an advantage but that is what makes adam a great player. I don't like the way he discredits tournament play, like its all luck or something. I don't discredit gathering play with "I wasn't trying as hard", adam legitamately got me. He shouldn't descredit tournaments either. If you look at who lost to who we did much better than he did. I know ad's a great player and a good guy. But his competitve reasoning is way off in my book.

Hmm...that was the first tourney i've ever played in. I just feel mentally/physically comfortable at gatherings - cause that is all NY has knows since VF1. If we had mutiple tourneys, sure, they may be almost as valid as constant gathering play in determining who the dominator is. But as they occurr in the U.S (and perhaps elsewhere), they are not "consisntent". Its all about consisntency. Gathering play shows who consistently hands ass (streaks), and that is what i and many players i'm sure look for. But in no way do i TOTALLY disregard tourneys as some sort of litmus test. Luck also plays a huge part in tourneys - and that just doens't sit well with my philosophy.

And I mentioned that Chibita/Ohsu/Segaru got their reputation from gathering style play (constantly playing at arcades (how do you think they got their 2000+ games?). We hear of japanese tourneys, but MOST of the play, where repuations are built upon, are informal meetings at arcades.
