I remember a long long time ago you used Kage to beat me with + > Shinsodan Forward Roll x N in the corner. That was quite amazing that I still remember. Do it again this Friday, possible?

vulcan and others have already given quick overviews of Friday when the crowd was there but after everyone else left there was still a lot of quality play to be had.

Rheinaoi started getting back in the swing of things with his Aoi. Shook off some rust and brought out the elbows, knees, low throws, and a million reversals, not to mention the painful guard-cancel game he plays. Shag got his fair share on me as well when he came by later, sporting no less than 5 different characters.

tianyuan2k2, it's nice that you're starting to force me to change my style a little bit, I need that to reminder to keep things fresh. Keep bringing it. In fact, playing Rheinaoi and Shag on Friday in short rotations was a great lesson in maintaining unpredictability, watching the tech rolls, and learning Pai can't reverse/inashi shoulders.

Also, in case anyone was wondering + when you wanted + usually results in a beating. Unfortunately I won't be around this Friday, I have to go out of town for a graduation. I'll catch up soon though.

Haha, three new victims ate that Wolf's combo last friday, the victim list is keeping growing. It seems like everyone knows that combo by now. And some one eventually asked about the name for this combo. "Sal's combo" good enough? How about "Sumomo"? I can't do that combo with my Sumomo! Think about that: Sumomo is somewhat silly when she talks and dances, that combo is somewhat silly since it requires a lot of set up. Sumomo entertains people, that combo entertains people also. That's it, let's call it "Sumomo" combo!

I think I will go to CTF this Tuesday and Thursday around 8~9. Let's see who will be there...

My evading skills, or lack thereof, have never been a secret but I figured it's nigh time to correct that. Rheinaoi gave me a little tip last Friday that has been very helpful... wait for the evade animation to complete before doing anything. Well, that'll explain SOME of the floating. Now about that button...

By the way - Anyone know where in NY can I find a good VF joystick?

I can't make Tuesday but most likely Thursday. There's a big Street Fighter tournament this weekend in Jersey, and I'll be training at CF for it.

You liked my Gief, huh. I dont remember exactly when you started watching me, but I'm very familiar fighting Chun Li with Zangief, Honda on the other hand. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif Zangief isn't even close to my best character. You want to be impressed by Zangief, you should see Nelson(ghetto-Shun) play him.

Super Turbo is my best game but I hardly play at CF because I hate to say it but most people there don't give me a good enough challenge for me to play them. Of course there are exceptions, I wouldn't say I'm the best player at CF either but its close. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I was on the recieving end of a bit of that; it made me wonder if i was truly losing matches because of my lack of adaptability, button spazzing (for a bunch of the matches i kept repeating to myself "just be gentle with it and the machine won't fail when i need a yoho or a throw") or simply my insistence on staying with Akira and his devastating array of kick attacks. I guess its time to really take the knee seriously /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Heh, it didn't feel any better when i got a chance to use the 1p side as it seemed that as usual Tianyuan2k2 was running circles around me in terms of yomi. Poor, poor Aoi /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

So what's with the buttons? Is this something normal in arcade machine maintenance or do we need to be a little more kind to the buttons (myself definitely included) /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif?

It seems like my Jacky could only beat your characters. Why??? Oh, I met Rodney last Friday around 5 to 6, but no one was there yet. And I played around ten matches with him, and I lost very badly...

Anyway, I am kinda happy with my 270s now. Just couldn't stop doing them. And I must find another victim of my sumomo combo... Kyosao and Homestay are my next target. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Let's see if I could do that against those best players. The set up of this combo is hard! Any suggestions?

Hey, I'm actually about to buy some Sanwa buttons. You guys need at least one for the cabinet at CTF right? I went there Friday and the punch button on the second side doesn't work. Need me to add to my order for you guys? I know the arcade itself doesn't own the cabinet. I'll put my order on hold until someone responds...
