Team <<Shao long pao>> {NYC VF} thread.

I know what you mean about the people showing up before the ps2 release. I used to see so many vf heads gather when the machine was on the opposite side back when I used to go for tekken.

I do wish that people would play more often... not just at ctf though, but anywhere. This past thursday I went to jersey to play vith_dos and his friend, cuz no one in NY ever seems to have free time. I understand people can be busy and all, but so many people are always tied up and it seems no one ever posts here.

This thread has been here for over a year, but doesn't seem to get used much. Tekken may not be so great, but our NY players top the thread max count (1000 posts) in a couple of months and are always starting new ones.

HOW IRONIC....A FEW MONTHS AGO I HAD BEEN TO CTF NOT KNOWING IT WAS A GATHERING FOR VF'ERS..AND JUST WHEN I FOUND OUT IT WAS...( ON FRI) I BREAK MY ANKLE....WAT SHAME....ID BEEN LOOKING A LONG TIME ...I FOUND MY HOME....

 

I'm glad that your eager AF but the NYC VF'ers hardly check this thread. They already know each other well enough to talk directly or most don't even know it exists. As far as going to CF, people would rather play at home because it the latest version and/or they're broke.

I think I'm the most connected NYC player toward everyone. I'll make a few calls this week to see how everyone is doing. Can't promise anything./versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

And to Dread Shun, sorry about your mishap. Friday is THE gathering day at CF for all games. SF, KOF,T4, SC, DDR and VF. (by the way, no need to shout, could you lower the caps please. /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif )

Some impressive determination my friend, Lei fei is no joke by anymeans to learn.
Good luck man, we'll try to help as much as we can. Kazu and myself have played him
a bit in the past but not seriously. And Cappos Lei isn't to shabby, I'm sure they can
help.

But seriously, Where is the CTF at? What train should I take to get there from the GWB. I'll be there this friday if I find out. Basic direction: Get off at Canal St. Station from the 6 train, walk down to the manhattan bridge to Mott Street then make a right turn. Walk straight down 3 very long blocks and CTF is on your left side. Oh if this isn't good enough plz use mapquest or something like that. /versus/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Since you'd take the bus to cross the bridge, I assume u'd be taking the A, like I do. So here's the best way to do things without getting lost.

Take the car in the middle or near the middle of the station. When you get off in canal, go up the stairs near the middle of the platform. Once you go up, get out through the exit to the immediate left when u face the police station (it's inside the train station).

Canal will be right behind u when u walk out of the station, so turn around, walk straight and u'll see canal... now turn left and walk down canal for about 7 blocks... you'll see mott street. Turn left and walk down mott street on its left side. You will cross 2 small streets. Near the end of the 3rd block, you'll find the arcade.

That's the best explanation I think. Mapquest is confusing for chinatown and train map won't get u anywhere. Hope it helps.

Hate to be totally anal but CTF address is 8 Mott Street.

I was there yesterday and a friend told me a slew of people were playing last week. He even described Cappo! Damn. Just my luck not showing. I should be down for tomorrow though

why the hell have i never heard of this place? anyways i gotta find it. the arcades in jersey are usually bereft of VF players. or Vf machines. it'd be cool to actually face off against you guys. only problem is i haven't played VF in the arcade for years. and as for VF Evo. never. but i'll give it a shot anyways.
