Talking to Vince and they expect to have the missing piece from the kit by mid next week. Should be up and running by Thursday next week -- fingers crossed. In the mean time they're going to put EVO back in the cabinet that FT will eventually be in.

hey hey my TO vf buddies. long time no see...-.-

i've been busy since last x-mas, changing jobs, applying working permit, blah blah...almost no time to practice game serious for me now.

my vf skill is worse than when we met last year. lol. haven't played it like half a year.................

so Metro Square is getting FT? that's good news, it's pretty close to my place(yonge/steel.). arcade play is better than home gathering for me now b/c of my work schedule. gonna play it a bit when it's availiable.

ps. i also wish you guys go to play some Tekken5 when it realease this year. it's gonna be like vf a lot and that gonna be the biggest (probably the last?) installment of Tekken.

 

VF4 FT at Metro Square!

Heya gang - I got the phone call this afternoon /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif VF4 FT is running in a Versus City cabinet as I type in Metro Square. Woot!

The only caveat is that they've had some minor problems getting the sound to work consistently - so apparently the sound is temporarily disabled (which blows, I know). Nonetheless! It's there!

I was at T5 this weekend. At Orbit... I was even going to go to Metro last night, and tonight... but I was too tired. Now I have to wait a week before I can play any FT...

Is there going to be some kind of large/organized FT gathering sometime soon?

Cuz: I'm actually going to be staying in a town outside of Montreal while I'm up there, and the only time I'm heading into the city is for one day, with my family, to visit more family. Other than that, it's like... living on a farm for the week... without any FT...

Last night, myself, mall, kbcat and Yamainu were there. Yammy left around 11 and the three of us only stayed another hour or so. Great fun /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

b4k4 - I'd bet people will be there tonight. Probably not as late, but there will be players. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif As far as a gathering is concerned, i think you will see something on a weekly basis...Friday nights, etc...

Had some good matches with my friend at metro, man when are they gonna get sound working? and whats up with the buttons? they got on some shitty asian buttons, and the rest are sanwa's that are permanently flattened down.

After playing some Pai and Lion I'm kinda confused about the new moves can someone clarify? For Pai's tech roll trip, they added some sort of throw. What is that? Also for + she turns around with the kick is there a similar flip kick while facing away to turn you back around? I remember seeing some sort of high hitting jumping kick from the away position.

The buttons are actually Happ competition buttons (read: American buttons) and I have no trouble with them. But, yeah it would be nice it the sound was sorted out. Soon hopefully.

The control panels are six button setups -- so the three unused buttons are "dead" buttons.

I don't personally have an issue with the buttons. In fact, they're the same buttons that we had when VF4 first came out - of the 3 VF4 tournaments, and the 1 VF4 Evo tournament that were held at Metro Square, never has anyone complained of the buttons.

I would, however, prefer to have hole plugs instead of dead buttons for the unused 3 buttons on the panels.

Hmm are you sure they were competition buttons? They look like competition buttons but i didn't think they could mount them in a versus city panel. Are you sure they're not the asian imitation of the happ competition buttons?

They are llanfair's competition buttons -- so yes I am pretty sure /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
