As requested, I added names to the photos. Same links (you might need to hit f5 to clear your cache to show the updated).

This is the first tournament I've captured in High-Def... so I still need to get the kinks out of the system... half of the videos recorded this weekend had to be thrown out and are unusable because of MASSIVE audio de-syncing...

Just as a heads up to people, these vids are in .mkv format and the resolution is 1280x720. They might not play on older PC's.

I d/l one file at the job and tried to play it in VLC but my work PC can't handle the res, it just shows the first single frame but the audio plays normally.

My version of Windows Media Player (WMP 10) doesn't recognize the format.

dunno if it will convert from the matroska files correctly, testing now at

    shag vs denkai

denkai vs akmaal failed to convert /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

but jaxel should be able to upload them from a usable format

You could also use a re-encoding program like Super C to put them in a format you can use. I always convert the SC matches into .wmv and put them on my Zune.

Get new computers... the computer I built over 3 years ago can play them no problem...

As for windows media player... download this, install with "lots of stuff" option...
    http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm

Before installing, uninstall any previous codec packs, like CCCP or garbage like that.

For anyone having the above problem playing these videos, like I did, try making the following change to VLC...
<ul>[*]Open the preferences[*]Tick advanced in the lower right corner[*]Go to "Input/Codec"[*]Go to "other codecs" subcategory[*]Go to "FFmpeg"[*]Put the "skip-filter for H264" to all[*]Restart VLC
Good luck.

The blip.tv is working out ok for some people? It was still kinda weak as far as framerate / stutter when i looked at it at work, but if its helpful to some people i'll upload some more of them & link in my post above.

Looks like it's missing frames. Animation is stop-motion rather than fluid. Pretty still images, though.

The characters look jaggy and as Plague said the animation is iffy, but it works. Better than no vid /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

ok this is terrible... VIDS finally... Can't view them /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

Come on Jaxel... no consideration for the people who don't have super computers like your own. How hard would it have been to cap at a lower resolution or different format? Really I am saddened by this.

Jaxel is a little more interested in his toys and what he can do with high rez captures than actually sharing videos with people. Certainly it's his prerogative, as no one asked him to capture matches, much less have people over at his place for a gathering like this.

But at the same time, if you're going to tell others that they don't need to record matches because you've got it covered... well, you better have it covered (losing half the matches is just plain incompetence), and you better have it covered in a way that's actually meaningful for the audience (which is more selfishness or hubris, take your pick).

    Best regards,

    -Jason

the only way you can view the vids is formatting from mkv to avi. i did one vid so far and that me(akmaal) vs denkai. it skips frames here and there but its watchable

I can only repeat what I posted above.

To all those who can't watch the videos because their computer is not top of the line, try making this small change to VLC. It worked for me, my old computer could not show the videos at first, but this change made it possible.

<ul>[*]Open the preferences[*]Tick advanced in the lower right corner[*]Go to "Input/Codec"[*]Go to "other codecs" subcategory[*]Go to "FFmpeg"[*]Put the "skip-filter for H264" to all[*]Restart VLC
