nobody said anything about shittin on your school studies. i have a masters degree so i know what it's like to study, and i guarantee it's more studying than you've ever done. however, the ft10 set would've only taken 45 minutes tops. instead you sat there and decided to have text conservations with everyone for hours. the 15 minutes you spent with Gerald trying to pursuade you to play could have been spent playing at least 4-5 matches. it was the perfect opportunity for you to step up. you failed and now it's going to take a lot for you to earn your respect back from those who saw potential in you. your loss...

You know I can work and text at the same time. I suppose if I just ignored all the messages then you'd "believe it". Whatever the case, I don't feel like my time is respected or how I choose to use it. I'm not explaining how I get my work done, when I get it done, and what I'm doing when it's getting done. When I'm speaking to people via text for support, I don't know how long the conversation is going to go, sometimes it's only 10 minutes. It's a very minor detour.

I'm also not here to brag about how many degrees I got, what level of degrees I got, and how hard it was to get them. That's a moot point. The point is, I just want my time to be respected. When I say I can't do something cuz I have work to do, I do not want to hear back something along the lines of "what's 45min going to do?" That sounds like someone who does not care about my real life, because nobody would say playing a game for any reason, should ever get in the way of someone's studies or career, unless they're directly related to each other.

It's one thing to do that when you're established in your field and have the ability to call some shots, but as an up and coming person that is highly irresponsible to do.

I just want everyone in this thread to know that everyone is trying to fit square pegs into round holes with this Tricky thing. Obviously the approach isn't working and greasing up that peg still won't make it fit in the round hole.

Sounds good to me. This one time I'll even schedule in the time so that if flash decides in the final hours he wants to do the fight he could. This is the only time I'm going to do that though.

Why does NWO keep trying to discredit people that want to increase the base of the scene? Why do the people who want to build the scene keep fighting with the people that want to make the existing scene better players?

Both factions have a duty and neither have to step on each other. Right now people on both sides are looking like straight up assholes.

Short answer, because this sort of feuding generates hype. Honestly I was about ready to quit playing VF until I saw players poppin off again. I'm sure there are others who feel the same way.

The way I see it, no one is getting shot or killed over this stuff, so it's not that serious. No one can ever dissuade you from something you truly love. So what you see as "discredit" is an attempt to gain heat. You gotta have your "villains" (so sayeth me, the "community killer") to make shit interesting. If I have beef with someone, I'm not gonna go punch any one in the face, I'm gonna hand them an arcade stick and say "Let's go." Beat their ass vicariously through the game.
