R was two years after 5 right? There's quite a big difference between eight months and two years.

 

Maybe arcade VF5 to Arcade R, but I''m thinking of VF5 console to VF5 Rcade(sorry couldn't resist).

I hope AM2 already did something and maybe they just wait for a good timing to announce it. Well, probably we have to wait until summer or fall....

 

Cool. There are other fighters that I enjoy(and have scenes) and can spend time with those in the meantime.

Hopefully SEGA will think about how to approach VF outside of Japan before releasing it in the States again.

 

It would be well worth the wait even if it means we wait until after the fall or winter of 2009 especially if it has all the recommendations we all wish the game should have like a decent training mode and improved online play etc.

 

I wish I could share the optimism. Once again sega has fucked over a new generation of vf players, well done sega FUCK YOU!

 

I´m done with VF until 6 comes out for console.

 

Honestly, I can't play this game due to R not coming out. I feel like it's pointless.

I'll be back for VF6 though in 3-4 years. 2 years for release, 1 yr for Sega to screw over customers again as they always do. (I've really started to dislike Sega as a company)

 

Don't count on VF6 . . . especially not on console.

 

Yeah, I think the same as KoD. Don't expect VF6. Arcades are dying all around the globe, and Japan isn't the exception to the rule.

Maybe 2008 and 2009 were good years for fighting games, don't expect that the same will occur on those post years.

I really hope that SEGA proves that I'm wrong, and that they will announce VF5R for next year, and if that happens, I'll be known as the negative guy from VFDC! haha!

 

Word, sucks even more now that I didn't discover VF until 5 but I had a blast regardless. NY was ill, and the NY folk probably will see me around again. But for serious, screw sega, VF is done for me. I'll play it again if it does come out but not right now.

I'm having a lot of fun with HDrmx and will be having fun with SF4 and who knows what other games. There will be tourneys and meets so I'm set.

In all seriousnesss though. I'll accept the news when we hear this from an offical source/announcement then from some vague 'reliable source'.

 

You maybe asking for too much Sp00n. I don't think they ever officialy said that FT wasn't coming to console.

 

Like I said, I dont want to pee on anyones parade but i've got early info before about vf5 from this same person. I can also assure you Sega will not make an official announcement that they are not making it. All I can say is be happy with VF5.
