    Hey nice work.

I'm curious about some of the unique choices you made.

I noticed you drilled your artwork in, least those look like screws, any reason you decided to use that instead of a lami-label?

Only sugestion I can think of would be to move the two characters behind the buttons up so you can see them, but other than that yeah great stuff. What kind of paper are you using?

I wonder if I can make the Hori ex2 as good as the Street fighter 4 fight stick. Make my own quick disconnects etc.

You can, there's a guide in the Tech Talk section on SRK.

Well now i'm using the mailing full post label with matte paper in the bottom,i paste th mailing label full post lebel on top of it but now i need to glue it on the joystick because it sticks up when i want to play like some parts with pop up so i'm still working on it

I also need to get me a better knife to make the circles on the paper that was the tricky part! hahahaha but i'm still waiting for my orders on the parts for my joystick to make this done i'm missing the buttons for the joystick and i'm happy i still had the sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK Ball Handle Joystick with me when i try to build a joystick long ago so yea i'm still in need of lami lebel just dont know where to find it been trying to get some info on how but all i know it's fed ex has it,do they make you the lebel or can you buy it from them?

I think you'd need some serious experience at this kind of stuff to be able to pull that off.

Kinkos makes them too. (I guess they're kinda the same place now?)

You give them a file on a CD or thumb-drive that is preferably Tiff with the color settings CYMK if I remember correctly. The file type isn't quite that important but it makes it much easier on the employee and I like to make their job as easy as I can.

I'm sure you can buy the lami-label from them, but they do a really nice print quality job so I recommend letting them do it. You won't end up with some of the problems you're describing.

I used an exacto-knife to cut the holes so I recommend that, it's much easier.

BF is right it's hard and takes serious balls to perform. The hardest part is desodering the old buttons off because the PCB is connected straight to the buttons and there isn't space in the joystick assembly to refit with QD's.

Then after you've gotten the buttons out you need to cut the metel feet of your new buttons in half and crimp them in some wierd way so you can fit them through the holes on the PCB.

    It's really a nightmare.

??? I did this by connecting jumper wires from my new buttons to the pcb board. I have the pcb board folded over and to the side the way I modded it.

Cripes, trying to line up the pcb board holes that you have left with different buttons would be a nightmare.

yeah it does sound like a nightmare. If you could put up a pic of the inside of your ex2 that'd be really helpful. I'd like to mod mine but can't seem to figure out a good way to do it.

Were you able to mod the joystick also or just the buttons? I hear the JLF goes too far down to fit inside the ex2 box.

    Classic background piece.

What kind of buttons are you using? If they are standard they are going to cover his face. If you have clear ones you can work them into the artwork like Tricky has done.

You could try flipping Goh's background face so you have it on the side of the joystick if you're not using clear buttons.

I think what plague said to me is much better if i place him more up and not make the image so much blur and much sharp and also resize him abit so that it dont lose quality.

Well this is done and i thank every one for helping me out /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I agree, good looking stick vfhayato.

Tricky, I'll see if I can get a pic up of the inside of my stick in the next few days... gotta fix its mic anyways. It's a bit of a birds nest with jumper wires to everything. I didn't take the time to make it neat like Jaxel does on his sticks. Strickly functional. I'm using the arcade buttons you would find in something like a VF2 arcade cabinet 10 years ago and I have to use half inch spacers to clear the bottom of the buttons with the back plate.

I like the ex2's stick, although as time goes on, I think the neutral area is getting larger, and the spring in it seems to be getting softer. Where mine is now is perfect. It's better than when it was new, but as time goes on, I think it will go beyond that sweet spot. I have another ex2 that has a shorted out PCB board... I'll just swap that stick out when the time comes.
