'Story Mode' For VF5?

I thought it was like this in VF5:

Wolf/Blaze
Akira/Kage
Goh/Jacky
Sarah/Vanessa
Lei/Lau&Pai

God knows.

 

not forgetting

Eileen/Pai
Lei Fei/Lau
Brad/ all the female cast
Aoi/Akira(or brad?)
Jeff/Devil Shark

 

This interest in the story is why it should've been added in the first place.

 

I don't play Akira but I haven't noticed a difference when trying it in VF3, 4 and 5. I have noticed that DLC has been made more lenient in VF5 though.

The only story line I find of any interest in VF is the one between Lau and Lei.

 

After reading the story synopsis in each VF game and watching the anime, I think I like Virtua Fighter better without the story. It's pretty terrible.

 

I've always thought that Jean was Akira's new rival seeing as how they have intro/promo vids of them fighting each other. Not to mention the April Fool's joke vid - official rivals a la Ken and Ryu.

 

I just figured it was Jean/Lion because they were childhood friends
before he got taken away by J6.

Who knows though. Shun might end up being his rival for all I know.

 

Lion is Shun's student.

Edit: Okay, after reading about it turns it it wasn't Lion.

See, shit like this is why they should explain the story.


According to what I've read it was someone who was kidnapped by J6.

 

Lau is Shun's student.

Akira is Aoi's son from the future sent back in time to kill Lion before he takes over the world.

Jeffry was once a shark who got turned into a man by ancient wizardry and now seeks to find his long lost wife who is still a shark.

Shun is an ancient drunken kung fu robot created by aliens.

Jacky and Sarah are actually the same person but from two different timelines.


That's all I have at the moment but I'll think up some more stupid shit later.

 

VF needs no storyline. We already have what need.
