First there want any lag. HDTV lag is caused by playing a non comapatible HD game on a HDTV. Example the majority of PS2 games.

What Jared probably didnt realize was that we were using USB extender cables which in my estimation can be a cause for slight lag while "HD LAG" is more noticeable.

I have a 47" LG LCD and a 120" HD Projector almost side by side. Both are fed the PS3 signal from an HDMI cable. The timing is slightly different on each display. I've also played on an SD Sony TV on composite RCA cables. VF5 feels fastest on the SD display.

I returned from Japan recently and the timing felt different on the HD arcade setups. Part of the adjustment might be the 2 to 3 foot distance that you sit in front of the 40" LCD. I saw a Sega World in Osaka that had VF5 running on the old versus city cabinets. VF5 felt faster on the old versus city cabinets. It takes a few games to adjust to a new display. It's nothing major.

It's worth it to note that I never felt any timing differences, regardless of display, during all the versions of VF4.

CrewTW, thanks for that. Is there any way you could produce a movie showing the LCD and Projector displays in the same view, and you just mash PPP continuously on them?

In any case, I think my worst fears have been realised. I'm gonna get screwed in Japan since all my training has been on SD TVs /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif *gulp*
