After much luck and exceptional improvised engineering, it appears my 360 has finally seen it's last dragon smash cannon input from my stick. The processor chip has been blown and I pretty much have no access to any version of VF minus my model 2 VF2 emu and Demul VF4FT which works at 20 frames/sec for me.

Life sucks for the time being.

Well - the equipment at my house still works! Come over next Thursday (the 13th) if you want to get in games. Life will suck less.

Now THAT was some good offline action. Many thanks to HowBoutSum, CaliJared, and PhantomFHarlock for a great evening of Virtua Fighter.

Does anyone know how to install a Cthulhu PC/PS3 Board? I'm looking to dual mod my stick and it says I don't need to solder but I'm not sure how to actually do it.

Talk to PhantomFHarlock (Matt) about it. His mod is brilliant.

Also - no VF this week. Someone has a birthday coming up and I've too much work to do for a Friday morning meeting.

Jared, if you need help or equipment just drop me a call or text. I have practically everything you need at work.

    Also, happy birthday. [IMG]

If you purchase a built board, then you do not need any solder for the Cthulhu component, as it uses screw terminals. You will need solder for the Madcatz 360 controller though. I have not found a built CHImp board, and you will have to construct that yourself. I HIGHLY recommend using a CHImp board. Less wiring. Less cutting of the stick case.

I was going to buy a fully assembled Cthulhu since I don't have any soldering equipment. I've also been scouring the internet the past few days looking for some kind of tutorial on how to put one in my stick but I can't find anything. Do I need extra wiring or anything like that, or can I put the board in my stick with just what is already inside the box?

If you are just going to use it for a PS3/PC stick, then you should have everything you need. If you plan on dual modding, then you need some extra stuff, which will require soldering. With just the Cthulhu board, you will need a physical switch to use between the two PCBs, must like Plague's sticks. If you use the CHImp, then you do not need a physical switch, but it still requires soldering - just less so.

Is there anywhere I can get step by step instructions on how to dual mod? I need it by Evo!
