I get out of work at 10:30pm. If you guys are still even there I can show up. I might be there at 11ish or later not sure. My schedule changed at work. Its a bummer.

Call me at 10:30 pm before showing up that late: (951) 897-6363. If we still have people planning to stay past 11:00, no reason everyone can't get in games till midnight.

I'm most likley not going to be able to stay late (as usual) but I'm pretty sure matt and jared stay for a while.

Last night was great. There was tons of VF action from PhantomFHarlock, Unsafe_Dan, and CaliJared (who decided he just had to kick me out of the rotation). I really appreciate that you all come here for games.

It's also awesome that people have been practicing. Jared escaped my 42P+G and I said :"Down? You escaped down?!" - he replied: "Well, I try to do three or four during an evade. I may have gotten lucky with that one 'cause you were pressuring me." Thing is, Jared escaped a good 70% of my throws so I bet he is doing ETTEG. Nice.

Looking forward to seeing you all and more on Thursday, November 5th.

I do ETEG too just you delay so much vs. me that it kind pushes me back to being abare. We all play very differently and our mind game strategies are all different.

Great games and ANGELS WON! [IMG]

I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I escape a throw.

I kinda fell off towards the end though. haha VF mentally exhausts me I guess.

I get a fuzzy feeling when I hit someone with a big combo but I think everybody gets that.

PS: Hey Jared does Semi still run that one game place?

Yeah it's mainly a PC lan center. It's in Fullerton on Raymond and (I think) Commonwealth.

Hey all, I'm new here, looking to see the state of the VF5 community in SoCal. I'm mainly a SCIV player, and I will try out tekken 6. I picked up "VF5 online" for the 360 at a store for $9 and after attempting to play Goh and playing a few online matches and seeing the depth of mindgames and character complexity I've been at a loss as to why this game is not popular.

funny you guys should mention that LAN center as I've been going to Semi's place every other week for a little while now (why hello there CaliJared ...) to play SCIV.

You should show up to Plague's house this thursday, best and currently only place for offline VF5.

I'll think about it. I picked up my first arcade stick today and seem to have chosen a hard starting character as my main, Goh. Idk if I'll be ready, don't want to embarrass myself. Is this a weekly event?

I host every two weeks on Thursday night. We're playing this week from 7:30pm to midnight (usually wraps up by 10:30-11:00, still if people want to stay till 12:00, I'm OK with it).

Don't worry about being new to the game. We all do our best to create a welcome environment.

Don't worry about it, everyone has to start somewhere and for the most point we'll always help people out.

Hmm the only problem is now if you show up and the space time continuum collapses like last time (jared and matt show up) then will have:

    Plague
    Me
    Jared
    Signia
    Matt
    HowAboutSum

all on one TV, and if others show up yikes! We might have to go arcade style and move to one match.

On the bright side, SoCal VF isn't dead yet after all [IMG]
