Due to cancellations by Matt_K and CaliJared (and the fact that no one else made it), Catherine and I watched UFC83. If you want to see new VF player XBL in real life - check out the Quarry/Starnes fight... "RUN AWAY!"

Next week VF is scheduled for Wednesday night. It will most likely be ver. B on the PS3 as my 360 is going away for service. Seems the DVD drive (which usually sounds like an idling tree shredder) is now starting to make actual tree shredding type noises when it spins up. It sounds like this: *BGRRRR BRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BG G G G RRRR*[/size]. Repair (under warranty) has been initiated.

Yeah, happy anni Talis & Cat (meow). Haven't seen a lot of you guys for a long time and there seems to be A LOT of new faces around here. I've been getting back into the VF5 scene via X360 online and still getting pwnd a lot with my Sarah. Yes! Play Thursday. However... Change in plans! VF night is being moved to L_A_Akira's place for this week. Action should start around 8:00 pm.

We'll be on for my house on Thursday, September 11th and hopefully every two weeks after that. I'll keep the info current in this thread.

WOW! Last night went exactly how I thought it would! So awesome to get together with everyone in L.A. last night!

Catherine and I took the Odyssey to pick up Brisal73 and get some Chipotle for dinner. Brisal knew of one in Pasadena but I ended up taking another route into L.A.. I was certain we'd pass by another off the 10 freeway, yet we hit the 10 quite a few miles West of the restaurant. Brisal73 MC'd my poor geography skills with cell phone GPS! We found a Chipotle in Hollywood, ate food, and went to get Azusabo (CrewNYC, CrewHK) and his fiancee, Rain. GPS wins again (as well as really good luck) - we ended up eating about 5 minutes from their hotel!

It's an easy drive to pick up Azusabo (who is VERY tall). I get VF Van back on the road and we arrive at L_A_Akira's place to find him, Yip (Shidosha), || Pigg ||, Betabow, and PhoenixDth (!!) playing on L_A_Akira's custom Lindbergh style cab. Bonus! Turns out PhoenixDth went to Japan and brought back a few VF5R movelist catalogs plus some crazy-looking R Cards to give away as gifts to all of us there. Extreme class. Very cool, indeed.

I broke out the 2nd 360 setup to double the available VF action. Soon after this, GoatCheeseBlues walks in and we've got a SoCal VF party in full swing. The fighting was top notch and VF'ers always make for the best company.

Random craziness... L_A_Akira and his friend Jeremy (Bradtothebone) just happened to run into Kimbo Slice earlier in the day. I saw some iPhone pics that documented the event. SoCal is really the place to be.

VF Van Crew wrapped things up just after 1 am and imagine the rest went on a little further into the night.


So great to see all of you again and everyone is invited to my place on September 11th (Thursday night) for VF5 from 7:30 to midnight.
