    Hey, MarkMAn!

    Hey, everybody else!

Yesterday at EL_Brisal73's place kicked ass. Catherine and I got good games in with Brian, Alex, and Jack(!)

After Catherine and I left, I think Martin, Ticky, Dan, and Jared showed up for the remainder of the evening. Good shit. VF5 at Brian's house on giant-ass TV plus High Grades = VF5 withdrawal problems the following morning.

So, next up is this Thursday night at my house from 7:00 pm to 11:00 or midnight. I have a PS3 and a VF5 disc and L_A_Akira says he'll be there with sticks in hand. Nice! Also, if anyone else has some sort of sticks, please plan to bring them along just in case. L_A_Akira is coming all the way from Sherman Oaks and may have problems with traffic.

I hope everyone had a good time. What was just supposed to be a small play session with Plague and Catherine turned into a bigger event. Typical Socal

The next time I hope we can have just one more setup.

Anyways, after Plague's gathering on Thursday my place will be available again on Friday 2/16 Night. Ticky and Martin will be leaving back to China after this week so a sort of a going away idea

If you have a extra Ps3 or sticks...then bring it. I will supply th TV

    thx
    -Brian

That gathering was god, Blaze is broken for now. Sarah feels... different... I'm at a loss for words. Experience was great. English failing me....

I want to buy a PS3, damn it.

blaze isnt broken, just my playing style . . . . . seems to happen with any character i choose to play.

    Arcadia tier list

    S: Shun, Pai
A: Vanessa, Eileen, Kage, Lei Fei
    B: Brad, Wolf, Lau, Jacky
    C: Akira, Goh
    D: Lion, Sarah, Aoi
    E: Jeffry, El Blaze

its kind of ghetto when blaze's mid kick feels like the same range as wolf's jab.

I was just joking alex, you just got me pretty good with Blaze. I can't wait to play again.

Btw, nice to see Sarah isn't absolute bottom anymore. D rank is still pretty bad but I still love her.

So what should we set up the schedule to be like?

Thursday (since Wed is no no) AI VF5?
    Friday Brian's place VF5
    Weekends Tournaments or Plagues?

Sorry, that I'm not real consistent, I usually always have alot of stuff going on. And college just got back into my schedule.

That's why I asked what would be a good suggestion for a schedule. And also why I added your place and plague (since you guys are always open usually for play) to the schedule. AI I think is great, cause sometimes you want to play other things besides VF for a while.

    Re: SoCal VF5 in 2007

I think I might want to setup a day for some serious training play. Anyone is invited - I gotta start to break from my casual play mode and level up (instead of playing 10 characters). Gotta get my killer instincts back. I should be getting my weekends free again. Im not trying to segregate the socal scene, but some people prefer casual play over an ultra competitive enviroment and vice versa. Once I get a feed back on everyones schedules - maybe we can layout the whole week for the socal scene.

Im up for training play. Again the more setups I have at my place the better. We are also brining in two new guys to the Socal scene tomorrow and they seem more than willing to learn the ropes.

on a side note Friday looks like we will have at least 2 setups.

    Everyone please post your schedules.

Vf training tips - dunno if this will affect you, but back in the early VF4 days, I used to play shmups or FPS games with certain goals in mind pre VF meets. Mainly Don Don Pachi, ikaruga for shmup, or i tried to "string" together 6-10 railgun impressives in a row on quake 3 DM17. Just some hand eye coordination warmups. Right now weapon of choice is DJ max portable.

    Everyone please post your schedules.

    Schedule:

Every other Tuesday works for me to go some place. Catherine and I can still do Wednesdays at AI. Thursday nights at my house are fine. I can see going to EL_Brisal73s house on Saturday nights.

Alex - serious training sounds good (even if it's just you and me hammering out 100 fights in a row).

    Re: SoCal VF5 in 2007

Wednesday nights after 9 are good for me. Some random Fridays are good. And Saturdays I'm usually out in the Rowland Heights area anyway, so wherever people want to meet is good as long as I don't have a crowd of people with me. I don't want to show up to someone's house with 5+ people or some shit. But yeah, that's my schedule. I may be able to fit in random days here and there, too.
