SoCal VF5 in 2007 and beyond

I'll be there Saturday. I'm thinking I'll show up with my PS3+HG(s) and Itazan around 11:00 - 11:30am and then it's time for lunch at Zankou! After that - play VF, sample the fridge, and lift weights! Fuck, yeah. I'll want to leave at 6:00pm so I can get Itazan to the airport (ONT) in time for his flight.

Looking forward to Saturday (except for the part about Itazan taking off - damn),

Dan - yes - carpool. Gasoline charge for you = $9.00. Get someone else to join you = $6.00 for you and $6.00 for them (we're taking the WRX so that's all the room there is). Be at my house by 10:00 am, Saturday morning.

 

Can you drive up to SF? My time estimates say we'll have time for 1 or 2 games.

Update! Itazan is actually leaving Sunday morning from LAX. So he and I are still leaving my house at 10:00am on Saturday morning - I'll just extend my VFing and whatnot at L_A_Akira's place until I can no longer move the controller (probably sometime around midnight - we'll see) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif Itazan will stay with L_A_Akira Saturday night and they'll go to LAX Sunday morning.

There's still room for one or two carpoolers - one or both of you be ready for Zankou, VF, drinks, VF, weights, VF, pizza, and more VF (and drinks). Fuck, yeah!

I'm sorry for you, too. Yesterday was exactly how it was supposed to be: really good food (Zankou, Pink Berry, and The Stand), really good company (GoatCheeseBlues, SiLLyWiLLy, L_A_Akira, BradToTheBone, Dennis, and Itazan), and insane VF5.

Fortunately, something like this will definitely happen again in some form or another. SoCal VF is absolutely top-notch when it comes to playing skills, having a good time, hosting the best players from around the globe, and leaving them with the desire to come back. It's fucking brilliant what this community has going for it. May it continue through VFxx!

Good games last night. It is always great to play with Plague and HowBoutSum.

Thanks to Joey for coming, it was great to play against you. I learned a few things about my play style that could use improvement from you.

 

That was a lot of fun last night. I'm set to do it again next Thursday. I love this game.

 

So as a heads up to uninformed. I will be hosting the VS Battle VF 360 online Gathering on Nov 3rd. This event should be quite different from the ones in the past. Offline and Online matches will be available

Also I recommend if any Socal players are planning to buy a 360 soon. Please make sure you get a 360 that has a hdmi output. This will help with setups since Plagues HDTVs are DVI/HDMI only.

Lastly...I created the top portions of the NEW VFSocal site. Want to know what you think...so here it is
