Wow - good stuff last night. I was fortunate enough to have PhoenixDth, GoatCheeseBlues, castle,[/size] and TsN|Matt_K[/size] over at the house for a ton of VF4: Evo. Just think - in a month or so it will be for VF5. Nice. Nice. Nice.

Still on board for FT tonight at AI. Catherine has had a ton of work lately, though. We'll see what happens.

What time and how long do you guys play at AI on Wednesday and Thursdays? Just trying to see if I can bother to make it there with classes ending at 8:00 PM... =(

And yes, I'm a VF newbie (at least to live human competition...) that's willing to learn the ropes. I don't care if I get my ass beat a lot in the beginning; as long as I'm getting the hang of this game, it's all good...

Ok dre hasnt shown up in a month, due to work related reasons - no blame here. But i want to get joey back in the mix and he wants to play too. So I propose another change in playing date. Joey cant play wednesday and thurs. I might actually be free the weekend soon. That leaves m/t/f/ weekend. I would rather not have it on the weekend because people tend to make other plans during that time. The other days i will be open for soon, what do you guys think. Also gotta put a sign on the FT machine so we dont lose players again.

Holy crap! What a great night of VF and I didn't win one game! I've been so pumped lately that I've actually decided to learn the basics of VF. This is the best game! I can see why I'm losing for the first time in my life and now have a real chance to turn it around for VF5!

Enough about me. Thank you to everyone who showed up tonight: pushku, ironJUNKIE, GoatCheeseBlues, PhoenixDth, Nordic,[/size] Jack, and David Lau. I swear VFers are the coolest people.

Speaking of which, the owner says its cool if we have a vf5 setup there somehow in the form of a 20gb ps3. One possibility is that we split the payment for the core system - and get the keys to the rig via how NY had their FT setup. The owner would pay the other costs hopefully. Details are a bit shady at best right now, but just letting the scene know that the owner is cool with having at setup at the arcade, as long as we can put something together. Post if you're interested in helping out.

Some of us in SoCal got a fabulous introduction to VF5 courtesy of L_A_Akira[/size] last night. PhoenixDth, GoatCheeseBlues, [/size]David Lau, Catherine, and I drove to Sherman Oaks for some crazy VF action. This was a night where EVERYONE would've been invited had there been more set-ups.

Huge thanks to L_A_Akira[/size] for opening his home to us.

EL_Bfisal73, thank you so much for the invite. I'd make it, but weekends are death for me due to work. Plus, I'm entirely new to live competition with the game (only two of my friends play, and one of those is just learning so...). In time I'll totally be down to play at such gatherings when I can. Hell, I'll even pick up an extra copy of the game for the PS3 even though I've no plans to get the system as of yet.

But yeah, I can make it out to IA on Wednesdays pretty easily so I'll see whoever I can there. I'm just glad to have finally found VF players in SoCal.

hey wassup guys? i will be going to school in san diego for about 3 months. how can i get to your sessions from the san diego base? i've only played up to evo, played a little bit of ft in japan, but not enough to talk about. i use lau, aoi, and brad. i've been somewhat of a dedicated lau player since vf2. i wanna get back on lion as he was my 2nd main since vf2 also. i just wanna start fresh and find a good scene while i'll be in sd (sometime around march). thanks in advance.

jinxhand, you should talk to Markman (tekken player) he is trying to set up a VF scene in SD. I'm sure him and others will paly with ya.
